When I woke up, I was completely confused as to where I was at. The room was dimly-lit, with high ceilings. It looked sorda like a warehouse. I thought back to earlier that night when I was walking back from the corner store.
"MOM!!!!" I yelled up the stairs to my lazy mother.
"WHAT?" She yelled back.
I rolled my eyes, and responded. "I'll be back, I'm going to the store."
There was silence for a while, and then she finally responded; "O. Bye" she said with an attitude.
Ugh, I cannot stand her!
I put on my Uggs and leather jacket and slammed the door- then walked out into the cold night.
When I approached the store there were a few neighborhood thugs standing outside drinking small bottles of 1800 and smoking black-and-mild's. I rolled my eyes and walked pass them into the store. I stopped in my tracks when one of them slapped my butt. I turned around, and they were all starring at me, giggling.
"What's funny?" I snapped. Everytime I walk past them they always piss me off. Especially on in particular; Derrick.
He approached me as he licked his lips. "My bad shawty. I ain't mean to offend you. I was tryna get yo attention." He tilted his head to the side, as he waited for my response.
"Don't try to run game, Derrick. It didn't work last year, last week or yesterday...so why do you think it'll work today" I asked, annoyed.
"I just thought I might get lucky tonight?" He licked his lips again.
"Whatever" I said as I turned around and walked into the store. I bought some hot cheetos, a cookies n' creme Hershey's bar, a Mucho Mango Arizona and some Twislers. I paid for my snacks, then I walked out of the store.
I rolled my eyes again because they were still standing there. It's 11:30 at night, go home. I shoved past them and started down the street- until I was stopped, again.
"WHAT!!!!" I shouted at him.
"Damn girl! I was tryna see if I could walk you home? You know....it's late, it's cold, maybe I could keep you warm" He smirked.
"Boy bye!" I turned around and continued to walk. As I got farther and farther down the street, I heard less and less of their voices. The walked seemed much longer than it usually does. For some reason, I was beginning to get scared. I've been living in this neighborhood for all my life and I've never been scared to walk around at night. It was a pretty bad neighborhood, but I was used to it, but something was different.
Something wasn't right.
I could feel it.
Suddenly I heard light footsteps behind me. I picked up my pace- and so did they.
I began to run, faster than I had ever ran- so did they.
I wasn't fast enough.
They caught me.
I heard the screeching of tires right before I was thrown in the back seat of an unknown car, with an unknown driver.
The car sped off.
..............................................................................................................................................Then I blacked out.
"I was kidnapped" I blurted out as I came back to reality.
"No shit" Someone said from behind me. I turned around quickly, terrified. All I could see was a tall, buff silhouette. I swallowed hard as I stiffened up.
I turned up my nose as I smelled the weed smoke coming from the unknown person. Now all I saw was the person and the gray clouds of smoke coming from a blunt in his hand. He walked into the light and I sat back in my chair, scared out of my mind. I was anxious to see his face, the suspense was killing me.
He grabbed a chair and flipped it around, then sat in it so that his stomach was on the back of the chair. I still couldn't see his face, well at least not the whole thing. I saw his right cheek and some of his curly hair. He was light-skinned. Hmm.
I heared him inhale, then I watched him blow out the thick smoke as he sat the blunt in the ash tray.
"So..." he said. His voice was deep, but he didn't sound grown. He sounded like he was in this about nineteen, if that makes sense.
"CAN I PLEASE GO HOME! Please!" I blurted out.
I couldn't see his eyes, but I knew he was starring at me. He let out a small chuckle as he stood up and walked over to me. As he walked, I saw a his face for a second. I didn't think he'd be that sexy. Damn.
I snapped out of my thoughts of him as he hovered over me. I swallowed hard again. He pulled my hair and pulled me to my feet, catching me completely off guard. It didn't hurt, but I didn't appreciate it!
Now that I was standing, I could see his whole face now. He looked me in my eyes, but I looked away not making eye contact. He grabbed my chin and forced my face straight so that I could look into his eyes.
I bit my lip as I felt my leg shaking. I was terrified and I tried my hardest not to cry.
"Don't speak unless I tell you to speak. Got it?" He spoke slowly. I nodded. "You sleep there" He pointed to a small, old and dirty-looking cot on the floor across the room.
I just stood there, starring at it.
"NOW!" he yelled at me.
"This is going to be a long night" I thought to myself.
