The morning starts off with a kiss.
"Ew! I haven't brushed yet! Get off me Nikhil!"
"You don't need to brush darling."
"Gods! Can you please stop with the sweet names? You were my best friend! You're supposed to know what I hate and what I love and what I like and what I tolerate."
"I just like annoying you." He presses another kiss to my cheek.
"Haha. Very funny. Let me go now. I can't stand the smell of my own breath. How can you even breathe?" I push him off of me.
"I don't care as long as you're with me. You are all I need, dumbass."
"This is better. Please stop with the cheesy names." I plead.
"Well, I only call you stuff if are being incredibly stupid or dumb."
"Then I shall gladly be dumb and stupid around you. It's just too much for me to hear you say those cheesy names. I can't." I grin as I brush my teeth.
Nikhil picks up his own brush and starts to brush his teeth. "Well, both of us have brushed now."
"So? What do I do about it?" I say sassily. I know perfectly well what he wants now. I just want to annoy him like he does. I yelp as he grabs my waist.
"I want another kiss. A proper one this time." He whispers. His voice alone is sending shivers down my spine.
"Nikhil. If we spend any more time alone, Anya is going to kick our asses and separate us. We need to get going." I push him away, but my arms pull him back immediately.
"Well, someone was just asking me to get away." He smirks.
"Shut up. And no. Don't say "Make me." I will kill you."
"Well, that only leaves me with one other option." He slowly backs me up against the wall.
"Nikhil, you do realize this is very dangerous. Right?" I say tentatively, wanting him to stop, but at the same time, wanting to feel his lips again.
"And how exactly is this dangerous Neha?" He hums against my collarbone, lifting me onto his waist, my legs wrapped around him, my back pressed against the wall.
"Well, we need to go down, for one. Otherwise Anya just might spill the beans to Grandma and Grandpa. Or even worse, Megha and Naina. And then we'd be done. You know how everyone wants us to get married. Not necessarily to each other, but they want us to get married." I say.
"Well, you can't blame them. We are 23. I would ask you to marry me right now, but I'm not sure how you'd react because we practically started dating yesterday." He pulls away, but not too much.
"That was very smart of you Nikhil!"I say sarcastically. "We'll just have to dodge the topic of marriage until we're both 25. I'm not ready to get married while I'm still studying. But believe me when I say I'd say yes to get married to you." I say a little more seriously, meaning every word of it.
I was just about to put my head on his shoulder, when Anya rushes in.
"Guys, sorry for interrupting your session, but Krish is crying too much. You need to come."
"Yeah, we were just going to come down. Krish wouldn't even have started crying if it weren't for this idiot here, who decided it would be a good idea to distract me." I glare at him.
"Well, what can I say? You're simply too irresistible."
"You guys can flirt later, but we need you down right now."
