It was nine years after Jeena banished Lucifer to Earth, and Heaven was still as lively as ever. Well... if you could call the events taking place currently lively...
"Cynthia! Quit being so slow!" 16 year old Hiras shouted to her youngest sister.
"It's not my fault you and Willow are so fast!" 14 year old Cynthia retorted.
"Hiras, you're being such a hypo-- AHHHH!!!" 15 year old Willow shouted as she tripped over something.
"WILLOW!" The other two shouted as they hurried to help their sister up. "Are you alright?"
"Ow... what was that?" Willow asked, holding her head in pain.
Cynthia went over to the object that Willow tripped over and picked it up. "It's a... book. About demon magic."
"WHAT?!?!?!?! Lemme see that!" Hiras took the book from Cynthia and starting skimming through it as a piece of paper fell out.
"What's this?" Willow walked over and picked the piece of paper up.
'Dear Hiras, Willow, and Cynthia.
I deeply apologise for my absence in your life. I cannot see you for your birthday, so instead I decided to get you a gift. As you can see, it's a book of demons and the spells that they can use. I hope that it is enough for all the birthdays I've missed. Your... mother... must've already told you, but I'm on a business trip. At most it will take me at least another five years before I can return. If I could've told you where I am, I would do so in a heartbeat.
With love,
Your Father, Lucifer.'
Willow looked at the note, rereading it, as Hiras finished skimming through the book.
"That's certainly an intriguing read. Whatcha got there, Willow?"
"It's a note from Dad," Willow replied, Hiras giving her the book in exchange for the note.
"Can I see?" Cynthia asked.
Willow and Hiras gave her the note and book.
"So... Dad must've really cared about us, but WHY IS THIS THE FIRST LETTER WE RECEIVED FROM HIM FOR THE LAST NINE-- HRMPH!" Hiras placed a hand over Willow's mouth, silencing her yells.
"Mother probably intercepted the letters before we could see them. Do you really want her to take this as well?" Hiras asked rhetorically.
"Of course not!" Willow retorted. "Do you think I'm stupid?"
"Says the girl who tripped over the book."
"Hello pot, this is the kettle."
"Both of you stop this! You're arguing like children!" Cynthia scolded.
"Says the youngest of the three of us," Willow and Hiras deadpanned in unison before all three of them started laughing.
"Where are we going to keep it? Cynthia's room's too tidy, your room's too dirty, and my room barely has stuff in it," Willow pointed out.
"Does Mother ever check our basement?" Cynthia asked Hiras, who shook her head.
"The basement has video cameras at every angle. Willow and I check on them everyday, and we found no signs of it being tampered with or anyone ever entering the room except for me and Willow. And there aren't any angel spells to turn one invisible or turn into someone else," she reminded as Cynthia opened her mouth to object. "Even if there was, A: Doors don't open by themselves. B: Roux and Thanatos would attack the imposter, even if it was Mom."
Roux was Willow's shadow wolf and Thanatos was Hiras' pegasus. ((AN:// Pictures of them will be on the side, or if you're using mobile, at the top of this chapter and the next.)) And they were very protective of their mistresses.
"Right... Is that one guy still in the hospital?" Cynthia asked.
"He's been there for eight years and still has no sign of recovery." Willow replied.
"That's what he gets for trying to sneak into our house via the basement!" Hiras huffed, crossing her arms.
It went silent as Willow looked at Hiras in disbelief.
"..."
"?"
"You..."
"..."
"... Used Thanatos on him didn't you?"
"And what if I did?"
"Hiras! You know you're not supposed to intentionally hurt people with her!"
"He had it coming! 'Mother' was trying to marry me off to the guy! And he wanted to get married!"
Hiras walked towards her house, carrying the book, going through the basement, and calmed Roux and Thanatos down before they could severely injure her.
Cynthia and Willow, each carrying nothing, walked through the front door. Which was much simpler than what Hiras was doing.
