Sinu leans back impressed and starts wagging her finger at me in a 'you're good' kind of way.

"I like you, so I want to know more about you, tell me about you, not the working you, the actual you." she leans forward now and places her hand on her chin.

Shit were do I start.

Wow okay, deep breath.

"Well my name is Y/F/N, but you already knew that" I gave a nervous chuckle and Sinu gave a kind smile over her coffee."I am originally from New York but I moved to L.A permentantly about a year ago."

Sinu nods "New York must have been quite the place to grow up as a kid" she sounds sincere.

I take a sip of my latte a weary smile crosses my face "it was um certainly interesting".

"But I live here now and I don't plan to move back, I live with my two best friends Tim and Jeff, they are a couple" I confirm.

"That sounds fun" Sinu has a twinkle in her eyes.

"Oh it can be, but they are like my two Dad's they take care of me and worry about me, even when I don't need it" I give a small laugh.

"So what about your family, do you see them" she asks sensitively.

"ugh, I have a family, I have siblings two, two sisters and a brother. They are all back in New York" I'm hoping that will be enough to satisfy her, I don't want to go too much down memory lane.

"Aww that's wonderful" she claps her hands.

"Karla has a younger sister and they are very close, they tend to do a lot of things together so it is likely you will have Sofi around you too, how are you with kids, well teenagers?" I think she is making more conversation now than genuinely wanting to interrogate me.

"Aren't all artists like big teenagers some times? tantrums? mood swings? drinking too much and throwing up? poor decision making?" I'm kind of teasing, but I am kind of not. "I can handle it" I give a cheeky wink.

Sinu throws her head back.

"You sound perfect, so I have to ask have you applied for any other jobs or just this one and have they interviewed you yet, because I think you are perfect for this job" she's leaning forward now.

"um well I have but they have all been part time or small contracted work, Im looking for something long term, to bed in some roots" I was being honest I had been interviewed for a few but I didn't want to bounce around from job to job I wanted some stability.

"Well I think you are the one, how about I ring the agency when I get home and ask them to carry out the final checks, you know record etc just for the management to be satisfied, but I know you are fine and you meet Karla this evening? Would that be okay" I swallowed the saliva in my mouth at the mention of the record checks, it always made me nervous. I felt my palms get a bit sweaty so I rubbed them into my trousers and plastered on a smile so Sinu wouldn't get suspicious.

"That sounds amazing, are you sure you don't want to interview the others first?" I really didn't want to get my hopes up for nothing.

Sinu waved her hand at me "oh puhleeze one of them was called 'Mozambique Crystal Glass' there was no way that was his real name, I want someone normal not someone who is doing this for fame or because they want to be successful themselves. I just have one final questions?"

I give her my complete attention and place my hand under my chin "go for it"

"Do you want to be famous?" I clenched my fist slightly.
