Dan's POV

I finished the last few tracks, the same thing happened years ago. The people magically disappeared! The only people left but my love, Penny, and Alice.

"I guess we drove them away again!" I yell to Cae from the stage. She laughs and replies,"Like I said its their bedtime!" It makes me chuckle a bit while I wrap up all the things up. Carry my not so heavy guitar to the car, way better car than last time I saw Cae. The other one was a piece of junk with a weird smelling funk to it. I walk in the bar to see Penny's voice.

"Sooo who wants to see me chug like two more shots?!" I hear Penny asking Cae obnoxiously and drunk. Cae quickly around than looks me with a apologetic face.

"I'm so sorry! I wasn't paying attention and the bartender was letting her get drinks by the second!" She replies truthfully.

"Hey! Hey!" Penny calls my attention which causes me to be nervous, I don't like drunk Penny "I knows you don'ts like me! I've been sittin' right here," she points at the stool she was sitting on and feels the fabric, oh my god she knows "and yous weren't starin' at me! You were starins' at dis' lady!" My heart was racing and she points at the half naked woman wearing 'Budweiser' on her small shirt, in a poster. My heart dropped into relief. I looked at her and starting to laugh, soon everyone joins in. I look over to the kooky drunk Penny, she's turned into a mean drunk.

"If ya'll gonna laugh at me I'm going to see my dad!" She scoffs drunkly, while she pulls out her phone and calls someone. The angry drunk walks out of the bar with the temper of a ape. Good riddens.

"Oh my gosh! It's all my fault I'm sorry!" Cae exclaims, her voice is truly sorry but her eyes are saying a different story. They have the same glint I probably have. Relief.

"We should probably get going." Pat says. I nod and the other two birds mumble in conclusion. We go outside and get into our cars, me and Cae and Patrick and Alice. Me and Pat saw a glimpse of the house before we came, so I already know where it is and what it looks like. Its pretty big with a huge pool and backyard. Not to over the top but not a squatters home. I just had it furnished by some chick, designed it all. I just told her to give it a home and a rock and roll feel. Emphasizing the home part, don't want to nessarly live at the hard rock hotel.

There was a bit of silence driving over there but I killed it by turning on the radio, she didn't seem to mind. In her own little world watching the houses pass her by. What I would do to know what she was thinking.

Cae's POV

Jeez how the time passes by like how we're passing these houses ... What have I done? I feel like in all my years I've contributed nothing other than living and raising my sister. I mean I'm not even on track to go anywhere. I don't have a special someone, a child of my own, my own career. Just the same bar with the same house and the same special someone. Which is no one by the way.

My mom would be disappointed if she saw where I was.

If she's seen how little. I feel a bit like crying as I remembered her.

"Cae, you know what honey. You'll do good. I know it, live in one of them big houses. End up smoochin' someone who looks like Brad Pitt or somethin'. You got a heart of gold." She says to me and kisses me. "Don't end up like your mama, you hear?" She says sternly and in my eyes.

"Yes mama."

Back then I had no idea what she was talking about, I didn't think that a growling stomach was a bad thing. Or a sleeping on a couch didn't mean it was a good bed. Or a man having the smell of achol on his breath wasn't normal. I'm greatful Alice doesn't remember any thing about it.

She was too little to know what was going on, and I sheltered her too much to realize.

I need to get on track.
