Amber Jones: a 18-year-old girl who moved to the small town of Hawkins, Indiana to get away from the hustle and bustle of her hometown in Miami, Florida. Despite the creepy and eerie atmosphere of Hawkins, Amber takes that chance to redeem the faults she had made in her past and try to be a better person.
Not too long after she moved to Hawkins, she meets a boy: Billy Hargrove. Abusive, mean, and arrogant. Billy isn't someone Amber normally would hang out with, but somehow she gets involved with the boy. Amber slowly unveils Billy's horrible past and as they both get closer to each other, a summer romance blooms on the surface of the terror-ridden Hawkins.
