This Fragile Heart
Dear God,
Yet again I find myself sitting here with a broken heart even though
I knew the ending of this chapter before it began
Why does this fragile heart you gave me
find it so easy to love others?
When it's so obvious they don't care a thing about me
A woman who would give someone special the world
if only given the chance to do so
Oh, but I do have the chance you gave everyone
I may not understand why this heart
you gave me is so fragile but
I know you tried to shield it before
I ever felt this pain
Thank you my dear father for this fragile heart
at least I know you cared enough to love me beyond
what I know at this moment in time and
in turn I love you
