I woke up with my head banging. Unaware of where I was, I stepped out from the unfamiliar bed. There was a note on the desk reading 'drink this for your headache' with a smiley face next to it. Without hesitation, I drank whatever was in the cup.
I took into account of my surroundings. Where was I? I needed to get out of here as soon as possible. I looked at my phone and saw that it was 10am. Shit. Dad's going to kill me. I quickly ran towards the door but it was locked.
Quickly turning around, I eyed the window. I might have piled on a few pounds but I should be able to squeeze out. I threw my shoes out the window first.
I managed to climb out of the window.
"Yes!" I said as I hovered outside the window.
This was right before I came crashing down to the floor.
"Ouch," I said rubbing my butt.
I stood up, grabbed my heels and headed forward. As soon as I got out of the neighbourhood and continued walking, I became more familiar with where I was.
As soon as I got home, I prayed that the door was not locked as I didn't have my keys on me. It was unlocked thankfully. I headed inside and closed the door quietly.
"Why didn't you come back last night?" Dad asked in a calm voice.
I jumped at the sound of his voice.
"Don't you remember what happened?" I asked, hurt.
"I'm sorry Belle, I shouldn't have lashed out on you, it won't happen again," He said.
He opened his arms and I walked towards him. He hugged me and kissed my head.
"Love you princess," he said.
"Love you Dad," I replied.
It was toxic. Toxic because this always happened. He'd apologise and promise he wouldn't do it again but it would. In the end, he'd always choose the drink over me and that hurts like hell.
"Go get ready for school, I'll call a car to drop you off," he said.
I quickly showered and put on a shirt and a black skirt. I paired them with back strapped heels. I curled the bottom of my hair and headed downstairs.
"Here, I packed some of the pasta you made the other day in case you don't want to eat from the canteen," Dad said as he handed me a container.
"Thanks,"
I placed the container inside my bag. Dad kissed my cheeks before I left. I sat in the car that was awaiting outside. When I arrived at school, everyone had already started moving towards their next lesson. My thoughts went back to last night.
Everything I remember was just all a blur. Who's house was I in? What happened? My thoughts were racing in my head.
"Oi, Belle," I heard someone said.
I turned around and there was a boy calling me. I did not recognise him. My anxiety made me think the worse so I ignored him and quickly walked towards class. What if he saw me last night?
I sat down and the same guy who was calling me walked inside the class and he sat down behind me.
"Okay class, get your books out and start answering the questions on page 54," Mr Larry said.
I began to fill in the answers to the questions.
"Belle," the guy behind me whispered.
"Class! Silence please or I will keep you behind after school," Mr Larry said.
