Betty and Archie were the 'it' couple.
they were perfect. they were special.
from the outside, it looked like the perfect couple. no problems. nothing wrong.
but from the inside, it was a broken girl. and a boy who is trying so hard to save the love of his life.
it was one night. that one night changed Betty's life forever.

there she was. on the bathroom floor ready to end it all.
as she raised the blade to her arms and slowly cut she thinks back to all the times that she and Archie shared. All the laughs. All the kisses.
She was sad that she had to leave him. But she couldn't take her parents anymore. She couldn't take all the bruises they made her. She couldn't take all the yelling because she got 80% on her math test.
she cut. 'it's gonna be all better now' she thought but oh was she wrong.
Archie had just got to her house to visit her.
as he opened the door he saw no one.
"Betty," he said.
"babe" he screamed as he went up the stairs.
he knew all about her past and how her parents treated her. he tried to help but she wouldn't let him.
as he slowly opened the door to her bedroom he still saw no one.
all he saw was the light on in her bathroom.
"Betty" he called out as he opened the door.
what he saw is something he wanted to unsee.
Betty on her bathroom floor blood spilling out of her arms.
"Betty" he screamed as he ran to her side.
"come on baby.come on" he kept saying.
he lifted her small figure and ran to his car. as he was driving as fast as he could. one hand on Betty making sure she was ok.
he ran into the ER caring Betty. "somebody, please. Please help" he screamed.
The next thing he knows he's waiting in the chair to see if his love is going to be ok.
as he picked up his head he saw the two worst people. Betty's parents.
"you" Archie growled.
"what are you doing here," he said getting up from his chair.
"We are here to see how our daughter is doing she did try to kill herself," Alice said softly.
"your daughter," he screamed.
"she stopped being your daughter when you first laid a hand on her" he screamed at them.
"I have no idea what you talking about," Hal said.
at this point, Archie didn't care if people were looking or not.
"You did this to her. the first time you hit her when she was 7 years old" he screamed at the verge of crying.
"7 years old. 7 FUCKING YEARS OLD! who hits their child at 7. just because she got a 70 on her paper." he screamed.
"you don't deserve to be here. go. GO" he said. they both scoffed and left. Now everybody knows what drove Betty Cooper to try and kill herself.
"Anyone here for Elizabeth Cooper," the doctor said.
"I am," Archie said quickly standing up.
"she not awake right now but you can go see her. if you can talk to her try to wake her up"
Archie nodded and quickly went to Bettys room.
As he opened the door he saw is love in a hospital bed unconscious.
he sat in the chair next to her bed and decided to start speaking.
"Baby, please wake up," he said finally letting out all of his tears he held in.
"I need you," he said through his sobs.
"You can come live with me and dad. he loves you he'll be fine with it" he said grabbing her hand.
"come on baby wake up," he said.
and she did. she did wake up.
slowly her eyes opened and she lifted her head slowly.
"what happened," she said.
"Betty" Archie screamed getting up hugging her.
"it's ok" he whispered in her ear.
"what happened," she said.
"baby you tried to kill yourself," he said softly.
"oh," she said looking down'
Archie lifted up her chin with his finger "it's not your fault" he said.
"were gonna get you home," Archie said. as soon as those words left his mouth Betty became frightened.
"don't worry your gonna come and live with me and my dad from now on and no buts about it" he said.

as soon as they got all of Bettys stuff in Archies room.
they were cuddled up in his bed watching t .v .
Betty turned to look at the boy who saved her life.
"thank you," she said.
"for what" he questioned.
"for saving me," she said cuddling closer tears threatening to spill
"it's ok baby you safe now" he whispers.
"you free"
