If there was one word that i could use to describe school it would be hell.
The only thing that made it bearable was him. My English teacher, Mr Howell.
Oh yeah, and my best friend Zach. But mostly Mr. Howell.
Every day I would look forward to my last period because i knew that i would be seeing him even though every day he never noticed me.
What did i expect? I was the girl that sat at the back of the class that nobody noticed. Not to mention i was his student but that didnt change the fact that i wanted him so is it so crazy to think that a teacher may want a student? Just not me.
I meet Zach outside his classroom like normal. Zach has been my best friend ever since i moved in next door and he was my only friend, not that i was complaining.
I preferred it that way, no betrayal from fake friends, no drama, no feeling left out, just me and him.
We are the firsts one in besides Mr Howell who was writing something on the board. We make our way over to our usual seats and take out our notebooks ready to start when Mr. Howell moves and i can see what he was writing on the board.
Hand in homework at the end of the lesson. "Shit. Fuck. Shit, i forgot the homework" I whisper-yell to Zach as other students start to fill the classroom.
"Riley, i told you yesterday we had homework. I specifically remember you telling me you was going to get it done before you went to bed" he replied, sounding bored of the conversation already.
