Lila and Marcus settled into their beds. Tucked in tightly, they had already almost dozed off. They both felt a slight kiss on their foreheads. Their parents would always tuck them into to bed and kiss them on the cheek or forehead even though Lila and Marcus insisted that they stop because the children were twelve that very night. As there parents walked out of the room and shut the door. Marcus sat up and pulled out a piece of cake that he saved for midnight. "Lila!"he called. She sat up and squealed,"No I don't want any blood Mr.Vampire!" Marcus had a puzzled look upon his face as he glanced at the terrified look on his sisters face. "How are you tired already?"he asked quietly. "Well, I am sleepy because we were partying all day at the "Banana Cabana". How are you not tired one bit?"she asked soon to glance at the cake.

Banana Cabana is a large place that was owned by Marcus's friend's Uncle, Stevie. It contained a huge arcade with twenty claw machines and over fifty arcade games. It also had a large jungle gym for Lila and Marcus' sister, Evelyne, to play in. It lastly had an ice cream and dinner parlor with thirty different ice cream flavor to choose from.

"There's Evelyne's cake. I can't believe you stole it. She was so upset, Mom and Dad went crazy to find Dimple and to see if she ate it. You are so......,"nagged Lila. But before she could finish her sentence her brother threw some whipped cream at her face. She licked her mouth and her eyes lit up. She wanted more. Marcus and Lila split the cake in half and gobbled it up. Marcus hid the dirty plate under his bed hoping that mice wouldn't visit him. They dozed of and went into a deep sleep.

Marcus awoke with a burning sensation around him. He coughed as he opened his eyes. He saw a horrible sight. His room was more than half ablaze with embers and ashes surrounding his sister and himself. He stood on his bed and jumped atop his sister. "What was that for!!!!"Lila shouted in anger. Her brother ignored her and grabbed her hand and rushed out their bedroom door. This fire was serious. Lila slapped his hand off her wrist and pulled her night blindfold off her eyes. She wears this because she is terribly afraid of bugs. Her brother once told her a story about how bugs would eat through her eyelids at night because she would always swat them away. She still believes that tale even though it's been five years. She stopped, motionless and she screamed so loud. "Loud much!"her brother shouted over the crackling of the fire. Lila rolled her eyes and sprinted to their baby sisters room remembering the plan. They always obeyed their parents instructions. So they grabbed their sister and ran out downstairs.

They grabbed their emergency suitcases and ran out the door not looking back. They ran across the street swiftly and knocked on the Malered's. Mr.Jax opened the door and showed them his phone. Marcus snatched the phone out of Mr.Jax's hand and dialed 911. Lila glared at Marcus. Mr.Jax placed his hand on Lila's should inferring that it was ok. Marcus told the fire station that his house was on fire and he told them where he lived.

Lila soon noticed that she had forgotten to turn the fire lights on to warn sleeping neighbors. She sprinted to her house and leaped over a pile of wood that had fallen of pf the house. She stuck her hand inside and turned on the light switch closest to the coat closet. She almost went deaf from the sudden noise coming from the fire horn from outside. The lights almost blinded everybody. She ran back to the house where her brother and sister were. Her brother scolded her with his eyes she just ignored him.

The fire department soon arrived with the paramedics shortly behind. About ten fire man ran out of the fire truck. Two went inside to save their parents as Marcus had mentioned over the phone. They others got to work on taking out fire extinguishers and setting up the fire hydrant hose. Lila bawled her eyes out. Her brother soon became teary eyed. He grasped his sister so tight she could barely breathe. Evelyn was emotionless. She just stared at the fire, it was like she was frozen in time. It was like she knew this was going to happen.

After what felt like hours and hours of waiting. The two firemen from inside came out with to charred bodies in their hands. As they walked past Lila and Marcus to place their mom and dad into the emergency truck they looked at the children. They firemen's looks were so sad and the children's looks were devastating. As the firemen walked past Mr.Jax and Mrs.Terra (who had finally come outside) Mr.Jax asked if Marcus and Lila"s parents were alive. They children barely heard the saddest quote they had ever heard. One fireman said, "They have passed away to live with God in heaven."

They kids cried and cried for over an hour. They had slowly tired themselves out and Lila had fallen into a deep sleep resting upon her brothers shoulder. Her brother quickly after that had fallen into a sleep of his own. The children finally woke up after terrible nightmares in an old cab. They found themselves driving to a large cliff that looked like it nested a prison. This prison was an old orphanage which was almost two hundred years old. What the children didn't know was that was they were about to encounter at this place wasn't just dust and cobwebs, it was something deadly.
