2 MONTHS LATER...
A tall, narrow house rise before them into the night, ugly in its shape and painted a dingy white. Shutter less windows, without blinds, stared down upon them, shining here and there in the moonlight. There were weather streaks in the wall and cracks in the paint. Robin was so desperate to get inside and investigate, to see what was lurking through the walls and behind the closed doors of this abandoned house. Continuously, taking a look behind their shoulders to make sure they had not been followed, they went slowly up the creaking steps towards h house. Robin and Isaac quickly noticed that something was on the floor... but what was it? A key. Robin hurriedly slid her hand into her pocket and pulled out a bunch of keys that's she owns to mostly every house in the neighbourhood. But the key to this house wasn't there - she could have sworn she had it. Isaac bent down and picked up the oddly shaped key and placed it into the lock and turned the key. Slowly, the heavy door swung open and revealed a yawning gulf of darkness beyond them. As they walked into the house, the door quickly slammed shut behind them echoing through the house making the walls shake quietly.
Instantly, within the echoes, another sound made itself heard. A man coughed close behind Isaac - so close the man must've been stood by Isaac. Isaac swung his arms out, his arms met nothing but solid air. He heard Robin give a gasp beside him.
"There's someone in the house", she said quivering. "I heard him".
"I know", his voice shaking. "I heard it too".
Robin suddenly remembered what some of the neighbours had told her about the house "that house lies with dark secrets that should never be told". Maybe they were right, Robin thought. The dark was playing games with them and she didn't like it. Isaac didn't like it. But the house did. Robin wanted to know why! Why was the dark playing games? Why did it want to scares Robin and her nephew? What has the past done to this house, to make it so malevolent?- - - - - - - - - - - - -
