the sound of music filled her ears.

        so calliope had heard that the glee club had been getting drugged up at carl howell's work. to clarify, carl howell is emma pillsbury's ( mckinley's guidance counselor ) boyfriend and a dentist. so he's completely qualified enough to drug kids up.

she was curious. who wouldn't be? every kid who had walked out of that room spoke idly about having a britney spears fanstasy. calliope wanted one. so, guess what? she got one ( because of her yearly check up ) and asked quinn to tag along.

        the sound of music filled her ears the minute carl gave her a good amount of anesthesia. a mix of womanizer and toxic was heard ▬▬ the two songs actually worked well together. she had a white-ish blonde hair color and around twenty backup dancers behind her, but she was the best, obviously. the fanstasy was much like the two songs' music videos. she changed appearances quicker than britney did and that was saying something.

when calliope came to, she was a giggling mess. she couldn't walk straight, wore a big smile, and just wouldn't stop laughing. quinn was way past annoyed by the time she had driven her home.

her mom had been the one to schedule the dentist appointment so she was fine with having an even loopy-er daughter. now, if she wasn't informed of her daughter being drugged ▬▬ oh, man a storm would've been headed her way as quickly as possible.

calliope supported brittany's announcement of wanting all the solos in glee that afternoon. she had been a member for a full week and she still hadn't heard what she has to offer. she had been really excited about hearing everyone's voices and spending her life savings on them ▬▬ yeah, she totally was spending her college money on the new directions ( don't worry, she still has plenty left to share. )

        the look rachel gave calliope after agreeing with brittany, was enough to scare anyone into backing off, but, calliope was just so clueless that she hadn't even noticed the irritation radiating off of the overachieving brunette.

"that doesn't make any sense." calliope says aloud after santana and brittany revealed that when they arrived to their joint dentist appointment, they had the same britney spears fantasy. it just didn't seem possible and calliope couldn't help but think they're were lying. ( they definitely weren't though. )

          kurt smiles smugly at the aforementioned revelation and calliope could only wonder why. "you see, mr. schue? i told you. britney spears busted our britt out of her everyday fragmented haze of confusion and gave her the confidence to step up and perform."

          brittany opens her mouth once more, only fueling the argument. "i'm more talented than all of you. i see that clearly now. it's brittany, bitch."

          call it a gut feeling, but calliope was beginning to think that britney week was bringing the worst out of the glee club and that things were about to get worse.

          "guys, we're not doing britney spears, and that's that." mr. schuester frowns.

          "mr. schue, you are letting your own personal issues get in the way of something that we are all telling you we really want to do." kurt continues. "i mean, this club regularly pays tribute to pop culture and britney spears is pop culture." calliope nods. "to suggest otherwise is heretical."

          mr. schuester had had enough. he shouts, "kurt! i'm done talking about this."

          and so had kurt. "geez! let loose a little, would you? stop being so fricking uptight all the time!"

          "kurt, i'll see you in the principal's office." their director says sternly. the glee club oohs and ahs as one of their members stands up reluctantly and stomps out of the choir room.

          now, referring to her previous thought, calliope was sure she was a psychic.
