Alliah's POV

As I sat quietly by the window, I was captivated by the view outside.

Curious about what you ask? Well, it was none other than the enchanting Garden of Shayrine, an oasis of tranquility named after the founder's cherished grandchild who envisioned it as a peaceful haven for weary students like me.

The garden was a tapestry of vibrant colors, boasting unique and fascinating trees with various blooms that delighted my senses. Every detail was impeccably crafted, as though a master artist had carefully painted every leaf and petal.

As much as I was mesmerized by the garden's beauty, the moment's stillness slowly started to dull my excitement. With a sudden pang of boredom, I couldn't help but wish to return home.

I couldn't help but wonder what time it was. I eagerly counted down every second until I could finally see my furbaby waiting for me at home.

But as I sat there, my blood boiled with anger as I thought about our teacher. Instead of fulfilling their teaching duty, they would head to the cafeteria to "take a break" because they supposedly don't feel well. Did it ever cross their mind to go to the clinic? Or are they just there for another gossip session?

Glancing at my watch, I realized that only thirty minutes stood between me and seeing my dog. I heaved a heavy sigh, feeling a twinge of sadness at the thought of waiting that much longer.

Resigned to fate yet determined to make the most of the situation, I started working on my assignments. It's no big deal, really. As a dedicated student, I've always been known to go above and beyond.

But why not make the most of this experience and enjoy it? How about we make #TularansiAllypurr go trending on Twitter? Just kidding, that's too cringy.

If only I had my phone with me, I could be bopping to some tunes or diving into the thrilling pages of a Wattpad novel.

Our school isn't rigorous when it comes to electronic devices. You're good to go as long as you're not disrupting class during a lecture.

But let me tell you, those who dare cross the line and keep their phones on or gadgets out are in for quite an experience. Rumor, they'll be forced to deep clean the boy's restroom for two weeks! Yuck! #GrossOut

Nonetheless, to distract myself from this blasé classroom, I decided to shift my focus onto today's homework. However, it seems like a piece of cake.

~~~*~~~
It only took me fifteen minutes to complete three out of seven tasks. It feels great to be smart.
While packing my belongings, I suddenly heard someone call out my second name.
'Gosh, how often do I need to remind them not to use my second name when addressing me?'
"Devyn!" a woman's voice called out, sharp and shrill.
Immediately, I turned my head to see where the voice was coming from. I couldn't help but feel annoyed when I noticed them walking in my direction.
"Oh, not this again. This is the third time this week," I thought to myself.
I couldn't help but notice their phony smiles plastered across their faces. For some odd reason, the guys in our school seem to go wild for these three girls.
It's unbelievable how low the standards of people are in this place.
"What do you want?" I asked the trio in a soft-spoken voice, which caused them to snicker at me. They were clearly trying to provoke me.
