The Vampire and Her Element

Chapter 1: School

My name is Serina Night. I'm part of the royale Night family. Our family has been around for hundreds of years. Yes that of course makes me a vampire. Yet I've been disowned by my family because unlike my family i want peace between humans and vampires. So when I was disowned I decided to go to a full human school. Everyone accepted me. So I became popular really quick. Soon some of the vampires who wanted peace between our two kinds came to Night High (yes it's named after my family). The Night High School became a vampire and human school. The vampires and humans adore me. Here I am on my 118th birthday at school. I was brought from my small apartment in the city to the school. I got out of the car wearing high heel boots that go up to my knees, a black tight skirt, a tight black crop top, and my eyes the beautiful color of blue. Everyone watched me as I walk up the stairs. A guy approaches me and it's my friend Craig (he's a human).

"Hey Serina happy birthday." he said.

"You remembered." I said smiling.

"Well we've been friends since you first came here two years ago. Why wouldn't I remember?" he asked.

"True." I said smiling.

"So what are you doing for your birthday?" Craig asked.

"I don't know yet. Probably celebrating by myself." I said.

"Nope you're coming home with me then. We'll have a party and everything." Craig said.

"Really Craig you would do that for me?" I asked.

"Yup." he said.

"You're the best friend anyone could ask for." I said.

The doors for the school opened and I turned around. A guy I've never seen walks in with his bag slung over his left arm. He was at least six foot. He had short black hair. I couldn't tell if he was human or not though. He looked directly at me and smiled then walked up to me.

"If it isn't Serina Night." he said.

"And you are?" I asked.

"Part of the other royal family of vampires. Tanner Bloodmoon." he said.

"It's nice to meet another royal but shouldn't you be in school with only the vampires?" I asked.

"No I was disowned by my parents. See Serina you're not the only one who wants peace between humans and vampires." Tanner said.

"Well I never thought a royal would decide to walk into this school on my 118th birthday." I said.

"Oh it's your birthday?" he asked.

"Sure it is. I'm setting up a party for Serina tonight." Craig said.

"Do you think I could help?" Tanner asked.

"Sure. I could use help from a royal vampire." Craig said.

"You're human?" Tanner asked.

"Of course he is and he's my best friend. Has been for two years." I said.

"I can't wait to start classes here." Tanner said.

"Speaking of that we should probably head to class. Hey Craig I'll see you later?" I asked.

"Of course." he said.

"And I'll see you around Tanner?" I asked.

"Yeah. I'll see you around." Tanner said.

We all walked in different directions to go to class.
