No longer sporting a fearful expression and wearing a determined look instead, Astra looks at her "big" brother. "I-It's okay! I am not scared anymore!" she said with determination. However, as soon as she said this, the sound of thunder occurs, being louder than normal once again. From outside the window, it appeared lightning struck in close proximity within their house. Astra reacts by jumping and shrieking again, still clearly frightened. Because her attempt at conquering her fear was a failure, she began to cry, not only because of her failed attempt but mostly because she had stolen a Thunder Stone that she presumed was meant for her brother, and that she had evolved before him. "Astra..." Sage murmured. "S-sorry..." Astra sobbed. "Sorry for what?" Sage asks. "I'm so sorry for stealing your Thunder Stone and for evolving too early and before you! I know you're mad at me but all I wanted was to get rid of my fear of thunder and lightning!" she wailed. Sage chuckled in response. "Astra, I'm not mad. In fact, I should be proud of you." he said with a warm smile. "Even if you weren't supposed to evolve this early, it still doesn't change the fact that you're my precious sister. And now, you've proven to me that you're the type who doesn't give up, even knowing your shortcomings." He reassured. "Come here." he finished, wanting to console her with a hug, wiping her tears for her. As the two embraced, the downpour and the thunderstorm gradually subside.
"And that's the end of it." Astra concludes as her story came to an end. "I see." Finn replies, intrigued by her story, rather than amused by it despite her mentioning that it was embarrassing. "So, yeah... that was pretty awkward, wasn't it?" Astra says as she covers her face with embarrassment, causing Finn to start laughing at her expression. "H-hey! Stop it! It's not funny!" she snapped. As she tried to grab him and shake him to try and snap him out of his laughter, they both managed to fall over with Finn lying on his back, and Astra on top of him. In an instant, they quickly realized the position that they're in, and they both began to blush. "Sorry, you're just damn too adorable to me." Finn apologizes. Astra did not respond and looked away. She tried to get up and off of him but Finn pulls her back in towards his body. "Hey. Let's not waste this opportunity together." he said. Knowing exactly what he meant Astra blushes harder and nods with excitement. They slowly began to reach their faces in for a kiss. However, their moment was interrupted when they both heard a familiar voice, one that belonged to Astra's big brother. "Astra? Astra, are you here?" Sage hollered.
"Eep!" she squeaked. She was in big trouble, for Sage was just about to find out that she had snuck out of the house to see Finn, and there is no doubt that he wouldn't be happy to see the two of them together. She needed an excuse to make sure her brother does not find them out. Astra quickly gets up and off of her lover. "Hide!" she exclaimed. Finn nods, dissolves into water, and slithers back into the ocean, right before Sage arrives. "There you are. I've been looking for you." he says relieved. "What were you doing out here?" he asks. "U-um, I... I was just uh..." Astra stammers as she looks around, trying to come up with an excuse. "I was just staring... at the sunset! It just looks beautiful from this view!" she lies. "The sunset? That's quite unlike you. Usually you stare at the night sky." he comments. "Come on, let's go home now." As Sage and his sister leave the beach for home, Astra couldn't help but look back and forth at the shore, wearing a slightly saddened expression, disappointed that her first kiss was interrupted. Not only this, but she couldn't even tell him goodbye.
As soon as the pair had left, Finn slithers out of the water and materializes back into his Vaporeon form. He too wore a sad expression. "Guess that's it, huh." he sighed with his eyes downcast. "Why couldn't I have done that earlier?" he asked himself with a regretful tone. His relationship with Astra was no more as she is bound to move out somewhere possibly far away from where he lives. Nevertheless, this sudden stop into their relationship wasn't going to dispirit him from trying to find other girls.
"Oh well, at least there's still plenty of fish in the sea." he finished, staring at the sunset alone.
