Animal control stepped into their house. "Where is the rabid fox, Ms. Kaylee Paige Zack Mooneyham?"
"I have no idea." Kaylee, Max's mom, replied.
Max started laughing loudly from the closet.
Max's mom got angry. "Max, come out of the closet."
"Okay. Mom, I'm gay and there's nothing you can do to stop me."
"You're ten and I'm disowning you." His former mom slapped her forehead. "I signed the papers months ago."
"How could you do this to me, Mom? Okay, that's it. I'm illegally changing my name to OwO." Max said.
"OwO!" August said cutely.
"Do what you want. I'm not your parent."
"Fine!"
"Fine!"
Animal control had August in their arms, and Max followed them secretly.
In the backseat of the car, Max started sobbing. "Please don't kill my boyfriend!" he yelled.
"Kill your boyfriend?" the driver asked.
"We're not going to kill... what's his name again?"
"August!"
"Yes, that's right. We're not going to kill him. We're actually going to make him live forever. And clear him of rabies."
"I guess... that's okay." Max said, walking into the building.
"You can leave now."
"All right," Max said, feeling better.
He left the building, glad that he's going to see August again.
The driver followed Max, getting August out of the trunk and carefully carrying him inside.
