Ally's POV:

Ken has been very cold and avoidant since he saw the contents of a letter I planned to hide from him. The letter telling me a must marry a noble man that would get my uncle's approval to keep my father's company which he spent his whole life making it worth leaving to me when I was of age. These conditions have put me in a situation I never dreamed of being in. I either married a man I didn't love to keep something precious or lose something precious and marry someone I had fallen in love with since I was a child.

Times like this made me wish Ken would listen to our trigger word and give me his attention which calmed me greatly. These games as he referred to them as was my only way to make him touch me in ways I had only imagined in my head. I knew Ken wouldn't give in to me simply tempting him unless I made him feel obligated to do it as a duty. If things were different I would want him to lay me out on me bed and give everything he has to me with no questions asked. I shook those thoughts away knowing it was just more delusions of things Ken would never do.

It around lunch it was time for Ken to bring me my meal and he did just that. I looked up at him and his eyes glanced to the side as he avoided my eye contact. Seeing him do that made me feel like my heart sunk in my chest. "Ken.." I paused and then continue hesitantly, "...please look at me." His eyes met mine and they looked full of irritation as if trying to hide any other emotions.

Seeing him look at me like that almost made my breath almost unable to leave my lung. He looked away again and quickly excused himself from the tense atmosphere of my office.

An hour pass lunch and I hear a knock at my office and I responded saying "come on in", assuming it was Ken. Moments later a deep rugged voice echoes in my office, "Good afternoon Ally, you sure have grown since I last saw you." My eye quickly left my work on my desk to meet the eyes of my Uncle Leo who was tall and towered over my desk.

I forced a smile and stood up to greet him, "Hi Uncle, how are you?"

"Im well but Ally I'm here to talk about you," he replied bluntly with a sly smirk.

I raised a brow in question, "About my required marriage?"

He silently nodded to me and I felt myself feel slightly irked by the situation. What exactly does he want from me? Im only 18 and always very busy. How could I ever meet a man to marry in such a hurry? Impossible. Is what I thought as we continued a casual conversation about the company and work
