It's been four years and Aaliyah is now nine and the twins are three. Their birthdays are coming up soon.
Tee and I have been married for about three years now and it's decent. We still argue and fight but what couple doesn't. I think our problem is we take it a little too far
"Hey Alexis" Rodney smiled as we hugged
"Hey" I smile taking a seat
Rodney and I? I've been helping him work through some things. With us seeing each other a lot more our relationship has gotten a lot better. Him and Aaliyah even got a better relationship.
Tee doesn't like it because she swears Aaliyah belongs to her and nobody else but I can't stop Rodney from being in Aaliyah's life because my wife doesn't like him.
The Rodney arguments are so stressful but it's nothing I can do.
"How's that rude ass boss of yours" Rodney ask
"That bitch is getting worse and I didn't even think that was possible. She need some dick" I say
"You know it's stressful for her to run that business she probably be like, 'I don't need a nigga' and all that shit" Rodney say
"She is! When I take off because of the kids or something she be so damn upset but I don't give a damn" I say "I like the pay"
"That's good. So did you figure out what you doing for the twins birthday" Rodney ask
"Yeah it's going to be a PJ Mask theme" I say "I wish you could be there"
"I'm glad we cool but I still have a lot of enemies and I rather not be there than to have everybody face scrunched up" he was right and plus they aren't his kids so no need to add all the unnecessary drama
"You're right. So how's Ava" it was weird to be asking about the bitch but if he's happy then whatever
"She's pregnant" Rodney say making my mouth dropped
"Oh shit. Well Aaliyah been asking for a sister so hopefully y'all bless her" I say "Well maybe not because Ava might not be ready for a girl"
"Chill on that. She been doing better" Rodney say
"I hope so" I say "Aaliyah told me she's nice. Hope it stays that way because I'll hate to beat her ass"
"I just don't understand how her and Tee aren't on the same level" I guess this a good question
"Tee actually takes care of Aaliyah. She was there when you weren't" I shrug "Tee has boundaries just like Ava does"
"Ava get more boundaries" Rodney say making me shrug
"She's messy and she doesn't like me" I say "she could take it out on Aaliyah"

We had that talk already. Aaliyah was not going to get a phone until her 12th birthday.
