I could have sworn I was awake, and this felt real. But it couldn't have been real. There was so much noise, yet no noise at all. I could hear nothing but the hum of the air conditioner and the occasional car passing by. So why was I so worried? Tonight was just a normal night, right? Just like any other. Stay up late, maybe eat something, get tired and turn off the light to go to sleep. Then I realized I wasn't in my room. I'm not sure if it's even night. There wasn't anything around me. Just white. Someone screamed. I heard it. Clear as day. Where did it come from? What's that? There's something over there. Its a small house. This must be where the scream came from. Out of worry for whoever may be inside, I cautiously opened the door. Inside the house was only one room. In that room was something that seemed so real, but i couldn't believe it, I didn't want to believe it. Beside all of the white furniture, which was splattered with black, was one person. A person I knew very well. Someone you could say I loved. But there was something off about them. They weren't them. In their hand was a knife. A white knife splattered with black. Did they pop something filled with black liquid? Now that I've looked closer, they're covered with the same black stuff. What were they doing? This person is never messy. They're actually quite the clean freak. Infront of them on the floor was a body. It was mostly white, except for the stab wound in their chest, and around it was the black liquid. I finally understood what it was. The black stuff was blood. But this person would never hurt anyone, let alone stab someone. Was this just a look alike? A clone? I don't like this little dream world. I now heard police sirens and an ambulance in the distance. I looked back up to see that the person I thought I knew was gone. Everything else remained the same. Except in my hand was a knife covered in black blood. My clothes were covered in it, too. The sirens were outside the door now. I didn't do this. But what do I tell police? They'll never believe me. I heard a voice from outside the door. And then another. I assume the police are talking to each other, taking precautions perhaps. I stood there, unable to move. I just stared at the lifeless body on the floor. I heard the door open. I turned around and saw at least a dozen police outside while the red and blue lights flashed and sirens blared.
