Taehyung's Point of View
I heard the door opening behind me.
I immediately stood up.
"Jungkookie? My baby, why are you here? Why are your eyes closed? Your mum is here...wake up my baby...wake up."
I started walking backwards until my back touched the wall behind me.
Jungkook's mother put her arms around him with her head resting on his chest. Her sobs torn my heart apart.
Jungkook's father stood on the left side of the bed. His hand was resting on his wife's back, stroking it from time to time. His other hand holding Jungkook's tightly. He didn't say anything. He was trying his best to hold his tears back.
I lowered my head. I felt responsible for not being able to prevent this from happening. For not being with him. I shouldn't have let him go.
I can see now that what he said to me few hours ago was not true. Why did he put himself through that? Why did he put me through that? It must be something serious.
A million thoughts and possibilities were running through my head. I run my fingers through my hair, pulling them back a little too hard.
"You!"
I looked up. Jungkook's father was staring down at me. His eyes filled with fire. His face was all tensed up. He was furious.
"What did you do to him? It's because of you he is here!" He took two steps towards me.
"We told you to stay away! Last time he was crying and now he is on a hospital bed. You just couldn't leave him alone, could you?" He took another two steps.
"Don't you have something to say? I asked you a question. What did you do to him?" Jungkook's father repeated. Only few centimetres separating us. I could feel the heat and tension from his body.
My eyes were on Jungkook. I didn't want to give him an answer. I had no strength in giving him answer.
I kept my eyes on Jungkook. I prayed! That's all I could do...
His father was unmovable. He was waiting.
"Stop!" was shouted from across the room, making us both jump. Jungkook's father finally took a step back and looked towards her direction. My eyes shifted from Jungkook to his mother.
Tears still running down her face.
"Don't you see? We are responsible for everything. Have you seen our son happy since we asked Taehyung to break up with him? How many times have you seen him happy since then? You don't need to think about it. The answer is none! Don't blame Taehyung! Blame us! Blame us for being selfish and not being able to see the truth."
She looked back at Jungkook. She cupped his face in her hands. "I just want you to wake up, so I can fix everything. Please my Jungkookie wake up!"
Jungkook's father walked back and sat next to his wife and Jungkook.
I was still one with the wall.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
It has been almost 3 hours since we arrived. He hasn't moved.
A nurse comes every hour. Takes notes on a block hanging from his bed and leaves.
Every minute felt an eternity.
Silence filled the room. No one was talking. No one moved from their place. It was like time stopped. Like it stopped for Jungkook.
