The Columbine King and Queen knelt in silence in wait of their execution. They looked down to the floor with their hands tied behind them. Despite knowing how their lives would end, they stayed in the castle until the end to fulfill their plans. The fate of the Realm depended on what they had set into motion; a plan they would never live to see.

King Kasim Adofo, the man whose army broke down the Columbine's doors, clenched his fist angrily around the hilt of a blood stained sword.

"So these are the fools who played God?" Kasim growled.

Kasim's father, Davu Adofo, simply nodded in answer.

The Columbine Family's Kingdom was Kasim's now. The Columbine's forces were the last army in his way to gain complete power over the Realm of Sanitatum. The Adofo family had invaded every kingdom, every city, and every town in one by one to stop the Columbine's neglect for human life. It had taken a decade, but the War of Birds and Lions was finally won; but the cost was so much more than Kasim ever feared. He wondered if it was even worth it.

"This will usher in a new era of prosperity," Davu boasted, letting his voice echo through the whited halls. "The Columbines who blighted this world will finally get the end they deserve. Under our new rule, we will clean up their mess once and for all."

Davu knew the damage the Columbine reign caused. He had watched the Curse spread to every corner of the land. Standing in their presence made his stomach churn.

"Here you two kneel, ten years in the making. Your promise of a 'cure' to the Curse breathed nothing but destruction on my home."

Kasim spoke lowly through gritted teeth, too furious to maintain his composure. This War with the Columbine's had grown more personal today. Faria was never coming back now.

"My people died by the hundreds of thousands by the affliction you let thrive in your streets. Sanitatum fell to the Curse as you barricaded yourselves away with books and dark magic to no avail. You chose not to contain the spread of the most deadly disease known to humanity. You blighted an entire generation!"

Kasim's voice began to crack as his chest swollen with pain.

"We tried to warn everyone, but your hollow promises of a cure made people think they were invincible. Your misguided follies can't cure a hex made by Witches, damn it! Faria didn't deserve to have her life taken by the likes of you cowards!"

Kasim's heart ached at loosing her. She was the love his his life, lost by the carelessness of incompetent rulers. He was in so much pain standing before the people who took his world from him. Faria was his sun, and he was sure he would never see light again.

"Your pathetic 'cure' ends here. We will not allow fallacies to unravel our containment of the afflicted. We have healthy people to protect and a world to rebuild. I owe it to Faria to cleanse the land you let fall to your ignorance."
