Itachi most certainly kept his word and didn't leave you alone for the entire week. The only times he did, was when you were sleeping, eating, had to go to the toilet and for a quick wash. When the both of you are clean and dry he carries you to the room, since your legs are still weak. He sets you down on a chair before quickly changing the sheets on the bed.

When he's done he picks you up again and sets you on the bed. When he lies down next to you, you immediately start to cuddle him. The fact that you are both naked doesn't bother you at the moment.
