Chapter Five // Gift Box

''Good morning!'' The first nurse smiled as she walked over to you. ''Morning.'' you smiled back. She took your blood pressure, checked your heart rate, checked your vitals, and everything else. ''Alright, let me bring this back to your main doctor and you'll be ready to go!'' The nurse smiled. ''OK.'' She left and you were alone again. You looked over to your side and saw the flowers from yesterday. You saw a little gift box right next to the flowers. ''Huh?'' You grabbed the box and tentatively opened the lid. 

''Okay! Everything is filled out!'' The nurse smiled as she opened the door, causing you to shut the lid to the box. ''Oh, good!'' You smiled back at her. ''Let me get your clothes then you can come to the front desk when you're done changing out of your hospital gown!'' the nurse smiled once more. The nurse then left and you starred at the box. You rubbed the sides of it, feeling the red ribbon neatly tied to a bow on the top. Admiring the box, you slowly opened it. You lifted up the gift inside and you were surprised about what you saw. It was a Nikon camera. The exact one that was recently broken.

''What? How did he-?'' You stopped talking once a little piece of paper fell onto your lap. You unfolded it to see what it was. 

'Meet me at the park at 9

    -Aku'

You smiled and hugged the little piece of paper. You thought for a minute, then came to realize something. ''Wait, Akutagawa is Akutagawa! B-But, how?! Why is he so... nice?!'' You were shocked and surprised it took you that long to figure it out.

''Miss, here are your clothes!'' The nurse put your clothes at the end of the bed. ''Make sure you also take your gown with you when you come to the front desk!'' The nurse left as you got up and headed for the bathroom.

You changed, collected your stuff, walked out of the room, went to the front desk, paid for your visit, returned the gown, and called a cab to take you home because you didn't have your car right then.

''Is this where you live, ma'am?'' The cab driver asked. ''Yeah, thank you.'' You gave him his pay and went to your door. You checked the time and it was only 6:00 p.m. ''Wait, isn't 9 when the park closes?'' You asked yourself. You sighed and walked into your house. ''I don't know what I'm going to wear.'' You thought. You looked into your closet and looks at your outfits. You gently brushed your finger on the clothes until you chose your outfit. You sat it on your bed happily as you took your shower. 

~Time Skip~

You walked out of the bathroom, drying your hair with a towel. You put on perfume and deodorant as you painted your nails. After they dried you put on your little outfit.

You looked at your self in the mirror as you fluffed your hair to make it poofy where it kinda looked wavey. You smiled as you checked the time. It was 8:56 and the park was in walking distance to your house, so you quickly left for the park. 

A while later you got to the park. You looked around as you put your hands on the bars on the gate. ''It's closed, no surprise.'' You muttered. ''Maybe this was a trap. Or worse, a lie.'' You thought. You waited for a while before your feet started to hurt, so you sat down on the ground, you hugging your knees and back against the gate. You waited there as you checked the time. 10:11 P.M. You dug your face into your knees as you slowly began to cry. You laid your head on your knees as you slowly began to fall asleep.
