"Ruff!" Sam shut up when she hears her dog bark. "Stupid freaking dog..." She said, and yawned. Her stomach rumbled, so she made herself a bagel for breakfast. "No coffee! Who expects kids to live with no coffee!"Sam complained. She yawned, after she ate, and showered.

She walked out of the bathroom, nacked, and changed into a new gray dress. When she was finished changing, a man appeared behind her. "Good morning, Samantha. I am Coal Cambell. I will help you prepare for your first day. Also, I will be you mate-" Coal was cut off when Sam punched him in the face. His nose was bleeding.

"Fist off, I already have a 'mate' and she is here. Second off, you have some questions to answer." Sam said through gritted teeth. Her hands were curled into hist, and was ready to kill Coal of she needed to.

Coal was taller than Kelly, about the same height as Sam, if not taller. He had dark black hair that was gelled and spiked. Cola had on a gray tuxedo. His skin was tan, and he looked as if he was Native American. On the nape of his neck, was a circular tattoo.

"Is your mate the same sex?" Coal asked. She punched him in the face again, and heard his nose break. Surveys him right. Sam thought, and smirked as Coal covered his noses. Sam knew self defense, and how to fight. Her family had insisted on her learning, mainly because she looked older than she was. "Men are stupid, and won't listen. They won't care if your 13, or if you like girls. They will only care that you're attractive." Her grandfather had told her once.

"Yes she is." Sam spat at Coal.

"Do you not see a problem with that? If you are her mate, you will not have any offspring. Your powers will not carry on. You-" Coal was kneed in the stomach, and fell to the ground. He crowned, clutching his stomach in pain.

"Coal, where is Kelly? Tell me where she is, or else." Sam growled, and Coal could see a fire burning in the back of her eyes. He looked up at the girl fearful, and sighed.

"Come with me." Coal said, and held out his hand to Sam. She reluctantly took it, and helped him up. In a blink of an eye, Sam was in a room. It looked exactly like hers, but one exception. Kelly was sleeping on the bed, with a dog curled up next to her.

"Kelly!" Sam yelled, and Kelly woke up with a jolt. Kelly scanned the room, till her eyes landing in Sam.

"Sam!" Kelly yelled, and ran to hug her. Sam's lips met Kelly's and they spit after about ten seconds. Coal cleared his throat, and both girls looked at him. "Sam, who is that?" Kelly asked, wrapping her arms caught Sam's waist protectively.

"Kelly, this is Coal. He brought me to you." Sam said, and Kelly smiled. She walked over to Coal and shook his hand.

"Thank you." Kelly said, still smiling ear to ear. "Is there anyone else here?" Coal nooded, and grabbed Kelly and Sam's hand. They were in another gray room. This room was different. It had windows, doors, and carpet, and many other people in it.

One girl walked up to Kelly, Sam and Coal. "Hi! I am Gloria Miller. I am 13, and from New York City." Gloria was shorter than Kelly, and had curly brown hair that was down to her elbows. Her skin was tan, and her eyes were light.

"And you Kelly," Gloria said, shaking Kelly's hand. "Your Sammanth, or Sam." Gloria said, shaking Sam's hand. Both girls looked at her, still processing. "I can read thoughts, my mother was a psychic, and my father was a magician. I am a second generation." Kelly and Sam still were confused.

"What do you mean, 'Second Generation"?" Sam asked.

"You must be a first generation. It's when your parents have the ability, and they pass them on to you. I usually makes the kid more powerful." Gloria said, and Sam nodded. "Here, let me introduce you." The smaller girl took Kelly and Sam's and led them through the crowd. Coal was not far behind them.
