Chapter 1: Give It Chance

I was the most scared in my life when I started walking home

My last class ended at 6 in the evening when I stepped out into the pouring rain to catch the bus.

I felt eyes on me but left it alone since I am well prepared with fighting defense from sibling rivalry.

Looking out of my window I focused on the bright street lights and busy cars that passed by as I catch a glimpse of a stare. My hands are getting sweaty and clamy thinking how much I would rather be at home and snuggled up in my fluffy blanket and a cup of green tea right now but right now I have to rely on the fact that I am almost home and it's not that short of a distance to my building.

I tried focusing on the reflection on the glass seeing a woman with brown hair in a red raincoat infatuated with her phone with earbuds. She was right across but I still felt something was off so I look behind her I tried to do my "yawning and stretching" and leaning back seeing that there were three guys right behind me

Two guys sitting next to each other were fighting over something on their phones. They seemed average weight and one had dark brown hair fluffed up and the other has straight light brown hair brushed to the side like Justin Beiber.

With their bantering, I did notice the guy behind them silently chuckling.

He had dark brown hair slicked back and to the side almost like a professional hairstyle. He had a tight long sleeve that a few buttons on the top. Before I would look to investigate his looks more I realized that I was taking in his body and gave me the deadliest glares I have ever encountered in all my life. I turn so quickly that my neck just cracked.

My stop was just a few minutes away but I still felt someone is staring at me that just gave me the chills. Before getting off the bus I looked through my bag for anything to protect myself self. I can only find my keys.

I felt the keys in my bag and remember that my grandpa gave me his building manager keys which held like 30 of them.

I held the keys in between my fingers for precaution and step up and out of the bus at my stop hear those damn footsteps.  I just walked down the block and crossed the street to trip at the edge of the corner.

I can not believe I tripped on a time where there is no time for mistakes. I still have life goals that are not being a single college student working as a waitress.

At this moment it is like my life flashed before my eyes as my face was about to face the pavement.

I fell on my elbows and tried to get ready to walk away as quickly as I could I relaxed that someone is standing behind me

My body freezes and doesn't move an inch.

I was not moving for a while and the other person did not move as well so I moved as slowly as I could and not making the stranger move towards me to be able to kidnap, injure, or mug me on a sidewalk that most people do not walk on.

Getting up my hand slipped on the sidewalk from the rain after mass. I swear I am the clumsiest and unluckiest person in that moment because the stranger grabbed onto my arm which I quickly turned to look at the person which something shiny like silver and notice that it was near their hand which made me lose consciousness and right there and then,

lights out
