This is my entry for my-dearest's contest. Have y'all watched Freaky Friday? That's kinda where I got this idea from. Enjoy!

Extra note: I published this early because I'm not sure if I'll be able to later on.

"Act natural," Karma hissed quietly from beside Nagisa, a scowl on his face. Nagisa gulped nervously as they neared their class building which resembled a shack rather than a school. He's been nervous since the incident that occurred the day before, not really knowing how to deal with their current predicament.

Looking in Karma's direction, Nagisa noted how irritated he was. He wasn't exactly doing a good job at hiding it too, but the least he could do is seem a little less obvious... His expression only enhanced Nagisa's anxiety.

When they entered the building, and later on, their classroom, Nagisa did his usual greeting before going straight to his seat- only to be kicked by Karma, which had him yelping in pain. "What was that for?" he demanded grumpily, sending his friend since first year an irritated glare.

"That's my seat."

Nagisa, tempted to shout at his friend, opened his mouth to clarify that his seat was, in fact, this one. But, not to his surprise, Karma intervened. "Did you sleep on the wrong side of the bed, Karma?" Karma stretched out his own name in his sentence, and it took Nagisa a full minute before his face lit up in understanding.

Scratching the back of his neck, he smiled sheepishly, "whoops, my bad," he said. With that, well, said, Nagisa retreated back and made his way to Karma's seat. And once he sat down, he noticed that the majority of his classmates were staring at him. Embarrassed, he avoided their stares, but sending one last glance at Karma, he already knew he was going to get an earful once they were in private.

Karma was beyond irritated. Nagisa really didn't know what the words "act natural" meant, though... he acknowledged that if he had clarified, then things would have probably been easier and less troublesome. He avoided conversation with Nagisa's friends, pretending not to feel their stares on him, and chewed on his pencil's eraser.

A whoosh signaled the arrival of their homeroom teacher, and thus, the school day began.

Flashback: yesterday

"A spar?" Nagisa peered up at him curiously, "why? I mean, I'm not that good... I doubt you'd find it any fun."

Karma shrugged, watching as his remaining classmates made their way down the mountain. Karasuma, Bitch-Sensei, and Koro-Sensei left early too, which was quite odd, especially for the octopus, but Karma also thought it would be a good idea to use this to his advantage, especially after what he heard his classmates talk about after that fake teacher left.

"If you could scare off Takaoka, you saying I wouldn't have any fun sparring with you doesn't make much sense." Nagisa didn't respond, so Karma continued, "besides, there are only a few days left until summer vacation begins, and you know I hardly come to P.E. I haven't really seen you fight. I actually think it would be fun."

Nagisa didn't respond that time either. Karma kept his gaze on him, waiting for a response to his request. He'd be lying if he said he wouldn't be disappointed if Nagisa denied, and contrary to popular belief, he wouldn't actually force his... friend to fight. It wouldn't be as fun.

Nagisa sighed, "alright, but I think it's best if we changed back into our P.E. uniform."

Karma agreed. As suggested, the boys changed into their P.E. uniforms, and truth be told, he felt less restricted compared to the main uniform. It was the material, definitely. Now, in the middle of the field that Koro-Sensei kindly leveled up for them, they circled around each other in silence. Karma was ready, but he was waiting for Nagisa to make the first move.
