Y/N's POV

I was standing in a blank place. The was nothing around, above, or beneath me. Nothing but white space without a beginning or end.

Somehow, I was aware that the space and time around me was a product of my imagination; it was a dream.

I walked through the white void, and as customarily, I began to wonder. Maybe I couldn't materialize a dream because I didn't have enough memories to do it, maybe it was normal for mages or demons to be aware of their dreams, or maybe they couldn't dream at all.

A figure I hadn't noticed before caught my sight. It seemed to be far from where I was standing; as I approached it, the shape became clearer. It was a person.

Shortly, I found myself stopping some feet of distance from that someone. He was a guy of short height, black spiky hair, and dark eyes. He was wearing an outfit that seemed to be designed for combat, and highlighted his notable muscular build. Everything about him had a hostile aspect, and yet, I didn't feel an ounce of fear towards him.

He was profoundly looking at me. It seemed as if he was struggling not to show much emotion; his lips pressed together into a thin line, and nostalgia flickered in his eyes.

"Long time no see, Y/N," he said to me, his voice was deep and composed.

"Hello. Sorry, but I don't know your name to greet you as well," I answered, and I caught the momentary flinch in his expression. "Who are you? Is this a product of my imagination? Or some kind of memory in the back of my mind?"

Suddenly, he disappeared and I was left staring at nothingness. "Look back," I heard his voice calling out from behind.

I turned around, and bumped into a great oak tree. Clearly, that hadn't been there moments ago. Zeldris was standing on one of its many withered branches, staring down at me with an amused look on his face.

"Well, I'm waiting for an explanation," I replied, looking up at him.

"This is the explanation," Zeldris chuckled. "You could call this a shared dream; it's an old trick someone dear taught me. You can communicate with someone close to you without physical presence, it's like linking your mind to someone else's. As for the other question, I'm Zeldris."

This situation reminded me of when I met Meliodas; I felt as if this wasn't the first time meeting him, and he confirmed it. Zeldris could be the chance for me to get my memories back.

"We need to continue this conversation face to face," I said, my neck was starting to ache from being bent upwards.

"Sure, just jump over here," Zeldris replied. I gave him a confused look, and he added, "Don't think too much about it, you set your own boundaries when it comes to being able to do something."

This reminded me of what Merlin told me about using magic. I took a deep breath, and looked down at my feet. I had power, I could do it. I bent my legs, and as I felt my impulse begin to shoot me though the air, I set it to the place wanted to reach.

With a small thump, my feet landed on the same branch as Zeldris. I looked at him in excitement, and he smiled at me. Right after, I noticed his dark eyes began to lighten into an emerald shade. Once again, he made me think of Meliodas.

"It's been two days since I woke up in an unknown land, without memories, and neither a clue of what was going on," I said to him, as I felt my hopes rise up. "But now you've come, telling me we were close. Who am I, Zeldris? How did this happen to me?"

His smile faded away, and replaced by a sorrow look, he began walking through the branches of the withered oak as he talked. "I'm sorry Y/N, but I don't have the answers to your questions," he said, and I felt my hopes shatter inside of me. "Two days ago, I felt that an esteemed someone had arose, you. I wish I could help you remember, but I'm afraid all I can do for now, is to give you a sense of company."
