Mingi and Yunho where at the beach when the sun was starting to set. The two had been there all day with a group of friends and all of them had been having fun the entire time. Mingi was the one to think of the idea, and if Yunho was being completely honest, he didn't think that going to the beach all day would be all that fun of an idea. The couple ended up going anyway; mainly due to the fact that Yunho was willing to do anything for his boyfriend. It was nice to get away for a while. To not have to worry about a thing for a bit.
"Mingi, this was an amazing idea," Yuno smiles as the other grasped his hand.
"We're not even at the best part!" Mingi exclaimed. "We're going to watch the sunset!"
Mingi knew him well. Yunho was a really big sunset-sunrise person. Every day he would wake up early enough and stay outside late enough to watch the sun come and go. He didn't know why, but Yunho very much enjoyed the sight. Maybe he thought it was cool? Maybe he thought it was romantic? Whatever it was, Yunho loved it.
The couple followed their friends to the dock where the carnival was set up. There was barely anyone there because everyone comes when the sun falls underneath the horizon.
The group all found themselves at the end of the dock, their feet dangling over the side.
Yunho grabbed Mingi's hand and rested his head on the others shoulder.
"This is amazing.." Mingi said after sighing. The two were taking in the feelings of this moment, capturing what they could before it ended.
Sure there were bad times, but you can't have good times without them. Bad times made the good ones more worth it. Right now, here on this dock, was one of those moments. This was one of the memories that Yunho and Mingi alike wanted to remember. They held each other in the slight breeze that took over when the sun left; and their body warmth was all that was  heating them.
"I agree," Yunho smiled as he burrowed his head into his boyfriends chest while he closed his eyes. "This was what I needed."
Mingi cocked his head to the side at a slight angle. "Having a lot on your mind?"
"No," Yunho replied. "I just needed a break from everything. I don't think that my 'break' could be any better if I was with anyone else. This is perfect."
Mingi snaked his arm around the other and pulled him closer. "You're perfect."
Yunho gave a small laugh at the cheesey comment. "Did you plan on me saying that or something?"
"I don't plan on anything," Mingi replied in a gentle voice. "I just say how I feel."

A few hours had gone past and the couples' friends left over time, leaving them alone at the waiting line for wrist bands. Once they bought their entry fee, Mingi caught the other staring at the cotton cand stand.
Being the good boyfriend that he is, Mingi bought Yunho some.
They started to wonder the carnival docks with fingers laced together.
"Awe," Yunho smiled as he viewed a stuffed penguin. "Look at how cute he is!"
Mingi stopped walking and stared at the stand. Yunho stopped walking right when he realised that his boyfriend wasn't following him. "What is it?"
Mingi motioned his head toward the stand. "You want it?" The boy smiled and let go of the others hand.
"I just thought it was cute," Yunho replied with a small laugh.
Mingi stepped up to the stand. There was an older man with an over-the-top clown outfit that manned the station.
"I see your interested?" the man said. "If you hit and pop five of those balloons with all five darts, then you get a big plush," he explained. "If you only get one out of five, then you only get a smaller one. I'm guessing you kniw the pattern then?"
Mingi nodded with a smile. "Yeah I got it," he took a dart from the counter in front of him. "Thank you."
Closing an eye, he exhaled and thrusted his hand forward, the dart leaving his hand. The shot made its mark, though barely, it managed to pop a balloon on the last ring. Yunho and Minhi let out a sigh of relief when the popping sounded.
Taking more aim time, his second shot made it near the center. The couple jumped up in excitement, smiles covering their faces. The same outcome came with the next three darts and soon enough, the old man was giving them the exact plush that Yunho found adorable.
"Thank you," Mingi nodded at the old clown.
"You won it fair and square!" the elder replied.
Handing the penguin to Yunho, Mingi couldn't help but smile at his boyfriend. The way that he looked with his sweater sleeves pulled to his thumbs. Yunho took the plush and hugged it close. There was something charming seeing Yunho like this. The two had been together for a few month's now, but Mingi had never been more in love with Yunho at this moment. His face was lit by the night light and his smile was enough to make anyone faint at the sight.
Mingi beamed and grabbed a hold of Yunho's hand and they started for the ferris wheel.
"It's been a long time since I've been to a carnival," Yunho said while staring up at the stars. From the docks you could see way more stars than you would from the city. It was beautiful. "The last time was when I was a kid." Yunho offered Mingi some cotton candy by holding it out. His boyfriend took some.
"My first time was my last time. It was... I wanna say three years ago?" Mingi cocked his head to the side.
The two where being filed into the Ferris wheel as soon as the lat group of people were off.
They both were surprised to see that the carts were very comfortable looking. The seats were made of fabric and there where two pillows that sat on both sides.
"After you," Mingi held Yunho's hand and helped him in before he himself got in.
The couple cuddled as the manager of the ride closed their carts door.
"Is this too cliche for you?" Mingi asked, letting tge others head rest in his shoulder.
"Mingi, this is amazing," Yunho replied. "I've dreamed of a Ferris wheel date."
Their carts where slowly rotating after other people got onto the ride. After a bit, the carts started taking turns stopping at the top.
The couple discussed various things. The conversation went everywhere from what pet they wanted when they were kids to how much they wanted to move in together.
"Hey look," Mingi spoke. "We're at the top."
After the statement, the two gazed around, admiring the surroundings. Thus was another good time. This was another good memory.
"Mingi... I..." Yunho shook his head slightly before looking to the other. "I love you so much."
"Yunho I love you too," Mingi smiled back.
Yunho leaned in and kissed him, his lips gentle and hands cupping the others cheeks. Mingi kissed back passionately, running a hand through Yunho's hair.
The moonlight gave color to them now as they were furthest from the docks. The kiss ended and they leaned away from each other. Gazing into the others eyes, Yunho wrapped his arms around Mingi's neck whick drew them closer. He kissed Mingi's cheek and rested his chin on the others shoulder.
Mingi let out a small chuckle. "To be completely honest, I thought this was going to bore you to death. I've been scared thus enture time that you secretly hated being here. Wait, you do like being here, right?"
Laughing, Yunho replied, "Of cource! What couldn't I love about being with you!  Thus has veen one if the best nights of my life, Mingi! This is what I have always wanted!"
Mingi hugged Yunho and the cart started to shift from the top.
"That's great, Yunho," he said. "I really wanted you to enjoy this as much as you cou-" Mingi was cut off by seeing a cluster of red clouds approaching the docks from the ocean.
Yunho gave a confused look and turned around to face the open waters. Once upon seeing the weird anomaly, Yunho started to panic. "Wh-What is that?" he stuttered.
At that point, sounds of panic and voices erupted.
"Mingi what do we do?!"
They both watched as the ride manager left his stand, leaving the Ferris wheel to keep going- there was nothing that they could do now. They were stuck.
The winds started picking up and the waves raged against the docks. People where rushing away from the water. The beach was being evacuated along with the docks.

At that very moment, a massive burst of lightning struck the ride, knocking it off of the dock and into the raging water below.
