huang renjun was probably the one i hated for the stupidest reason. i hated him because he was clumsy. he was really kind to everyone, that was why he was popular.
he was in my science class and one day, we got paired up. i was scared something bad might happen like him messing up on the measurement of some of the liquids, but he is the smartest one in science class so i'll give him a chance.
"so, guess we're partners huh?" he smiled.
"yeah"
"uhh so," he explained the procedure.
while he was explaining, he made hand gestures, and you probably already know what happened. he hit one of the beakers on the table with chemicals inside. the sound of glass shattering echoed through the wide laboratory.
suddenly, everyone's eyes were on me.
"oh my— jaehee i'm so sorry" renjun immediately apologized.
i felt a stinging pain in my left leg and my bestfriend, yena, brought me to the nurse.
renjun soon followed, running behind us.
i got so irritated that day, so i decided to confront him about it.

next day
he was running in the hallways and i quickly approached him.
"hey uh, renjun?"
"yes?" he stopped.
"about the other day—"
he sighed. "jaehee i already said sorry about it. i just spilled some liquid chemical crap on you, so what's the big deal?" he had an annoyed look plastered on his face and turned away to go somewhere.
my hand was balled into a fist. he spilled chemicals on me, i should be the one who was mad. i took in deep breaths and went to go to my class.
i was so mad about what he did and i knew i couldn't just keep it in, so i wrote a letter. i know, stupid but i was in 9th grade.
i quickly went to my room and got my writing materials as well as some paper.
and then i wrote my first hate letter.
