Rise up (TodoBakuDeku x Reader )

(Y/n)'s POV                

I held my dad's hand as we walked through the corridors of the hospital. 

It was cold and quiet, but that didn't matter what mattered was seeing my mom. She had been hospitalized after sustaining a giant injury to her brain.

"Dad?" I asked

"Yes, sweetie?"

"Is mommy ok?" 

He squeezed my hand a bit tighter. The sudden change made me flinch.

"Mommy is very sick right now she won't be home for a while"

"How long? Will she come home for Christmas?"

Dad's shoulders suddenly tensed up. I could see the sadness that omitted his dark brown eyes. He then picked me up and put me down in the play area.

"Stay here, I'll be back soon" 

"Ok, daddy!" I said as I sat down and started to play with the colorful blocks. I started stacking them on top of each other until I noticed a boy sitting across from me. He had a beautiful blend of red and white hair I couldn't help but go up to him.

"Hello, what's your name?"

He didn't reply.

"I really like your hair, I wish my dad would let me dye mine as well"

"It's my natural color," He said with a monotone voice. 

"Oh, s-sorry its really pretty! so do you wanna stack blocks with me?" I say trying to lighten the mood.

"Sure."

"Oh ok!" I say with a smile.

We started to stack blocks in silence until I realized I still didn't know his name. "So uh, what's your name?" I tried to sound as friendly as possible.

"What's yours?"

"Oh I'm (Y/n) Aizawa, now your turn" 

"Shoto Todoroki"

"Aw, that's such a cool name! I wish my name was like that" I say while making a pouty face.

"...I guess"

"So, Sho-chan what are you doing here?" 

He looked up at me with a shocked expression "...Sho-chan?.."

Immediately I felt my face heat up from embarrassment "OH NO, I'm so sorry I didn't mean to but I usually give my friends nicknames" 

"Friend? I'm your friend?"

"Of course! Even if we've only known each other for a few minutes I think we can be friends!"

A small smile formed on his lips "Thank you"

"No need to thank me! That's what friends are for."

We started talking to each other about the things we loved. We talked about how much we loved all might. He told me about his mom who sounded like a wonderful person, his dad well... not so much. 

"Wow, your dad sounds so mean!" 

"Yeah... I wish my dad was nice like yours"

Speaking of that I wonder where my dad was, he dropped me off and never came back. He wouldn't leave me here, would he?

"(Y/N)!"

I turned my head around to see my dad, I got excited until I saw him clearly It look like he'd been crying. No, I know for a fact he never cries he didn't even cry when my goldfish died.

"(Y/n) it's time to go."

"Ok, goodbye Sho-chan!" I say while waving

"Bye"

Dad drags me by the arm it was clear that he was frustrated.

"Dad is everything all right?"

"No," He said to me with a sad tone

"What's wrong?"

"Your mom is dead"

A/N: Ah, this is really bad but don't worry I'll try to improve over the next few weeks and Bakugou and Midoriya will show up in the next few chapters :). If you have any constructive critique it would be really helpful. Also, please don't mind my grammar its not the best if you can tell. Also, the romance is going to be a bit slower I don't like when people rush into things too much it doesn't seem natural that way.
