Chapter 3: A legends begins

"owwww" Jake woke up in a daze with no knowledge about what happened; all he could remember was someone being attacked by a robber and him saving the victim. Jake was back in his room, lying in his comfy, automated-heated bed with his duvet engulfing his whole body. Jake started to look around the room like a light house scanning for boats out sea. Suddenly, he remember the horrific incident that happened in the alley; he quickly started to remove his upper clothing to check his chest. He looked for any wounds across his body and gave a massive sigh of relieve. "It was just a dream!" Sighed Jake. Before he could relax however, an elegant girl came into the room and smiled at Jake which startled him. He

He immediately got up from his bed like a shooting rocket going out to space " Who the heck are you?! Or better yet, what the hell are you doing in my room" "Boy you ask a lot of questions don't you?" she sniggered. She started approach Jake in a serpentine fashion as her boots clipped and clapped. "Well 1st of all my Name is Alice lovehart. But you can call me Alice for short. Secondly, I'm the one who plucked you out from the clutches of death.. Honestly, I can't believe you don't remember.. breaks my heart you know" Said Alice. "But—But you killed that man! And then you went to finish me off!" " How could I have killed you when you are alive right now?" "I saw you kill that man!" He said with panic " But he was going to kill me; wasn't he?" She questioned the startled and scared boy. The girl got closer and closer and eventually she was only a breath away from the scared kid.

She lifted her finger and softly placed it on his chest "I saved you from the creeping hands of death" "Put your hand on your chest". "What why should I-?" "Shhhhh.. just do what I say" Jake scared to the bones did what she commanded and place his shaking hands on his chested. "Wait.. what the—"

A piercing pain spread throughout his entire body, as started to fill dizzy and distressed. He couldn't feel a heart beat! The girl gave a pleasuring smile as she found excitement into toying with Jake.

"Now feel my chest" she said again with pleasure. Jake still finding it hard to believe started to slowly place his hand on her chest. Immediately, she could feel a heart beat but this felt very unusual as he could feel two hearts beats from her chest. " You have...." " Yes I have got two hearts, one is mine and can you guess which one the other belongs to?" She let the boy sink the knowledge of him not having a heart, she kissed him on the lips and then she spun around and went outside of the room "I will make you some food, using this tech stuff is kind of hard to learn isn't it?" She made a child like laughter as she left the room.

Jake's made became ablaze with numerous thought as he tried to come up with explanations to the current situation at hand, suddenly, a light blip on Jake's left glove appeared; he noticed it and tapped it. It then made a holographic display board around his entire arm which had a azure colour design to it. "Message received" The AI notified Jake. "Playing recorded message... hey bro, listen , just wanted to say that the party was great and that am sorry you couldn't make it but I was wondering if we could meet up at the old cafe today; if that is ok with you? Reply back... message ended." Jake suddenly remembered about his "brother's" party.

The dashboard immediately retracted back to a circular green holographic blip like a deflating balloon becoming small again. Still confused and frightened, he mustered the courage and strength and managed to come outside his room. Taking little steps towards the main room he saw the girl making food as she said she would do. "You know making food on this thing is pretty hard to do, what with all this technology" she said again as soon as he came in " H-how am I still alive?" Jake questioned the red haired girl. "I used life and possession magick" "Possession magick?" He asked again "Well if you're so curious, life and possession magick is the process of when the users uses his or her life force to resurrect someone else life force ergo making them their slave" " SLAVE!?" "yes their slave, are you having hearing problems or something?" Said Alice in a concerning . "So what would you like, French toast, omelette? Although... there will be no promises as to how it will look " Said Alice.

"Why did you save me?" "Well... isn't the natural thing for a person to help someone pleading for help?" She said with a smile. Still confused and scared he decided quickly that he needed to get away from this crazy girl" I-I got to go somewhere" "but you got barely any strength to go anywhere; please have some food before you go outside" Said Alice in a concerning voice. Jake didn't respond and started to walk towards the door. "I said, stay here Jake" said Alice with a fierce voice. Immediately, Jake stopped abruptly in his tracks like he had hit an invisible wall.

She started to continue cooking as Jake was now frozen on the spot. "What's ..happening " "Well, I told you not go but yet you disobeyed my order even when I asked; I seriously cannot understand human behaviour" "let me go" Said Jake in a polite tone. After a few minutes of arguing she finally let him go outside but told him to be back for supper like she was his mum.

Annoyed and scared Jake stormed outside to walk it off and thinking that this whole situation was not real and it was all just a dream; he kept on contemplating whether he actually did have a heart or his heart was gone.

"It's still dark" He said to himself. Outside was cold and lights were still active but a bit dim. Buildings, shone brightly as people were active and either playing music or just relaxing in their hi-tech houses. Many bill boards had sliding and professional images and information about the new hover cars, Hi-tech Virtual reality headset or the latest tech captivating the world. He kept on walking until he saw something out of the ordinary; a black rift forming. "what is that?" The rift kept on enlarging. Intrigued, Jake approached the rift carefully, to investigate the strange anomaly. As soon as he stepped forward to the pitiless and endless black rift; something spitted out of the rift and collided with Jake. "AAAGH!"

A woman with ancient elven armour was suddenly laying on top of him. "Hey... are you alright?" The woman didn't respond to his question. "Hey!" Jake started to shake her but ever so gently. Gradually, the woman started to gain conscious as she started to look around her surroundings "Where am I?" Said the woman. "Well umm you just fell out of some portal and fell on top of me ..could you also maybe get off me! "

She looked towards the ground still in a daze to find out where the sound emitted from. She gasped and immediately bounced off the boy and drew out her sword. " where am I" She asked again. Jake got up to answer the questioning woman "Like I said you came from some black.. thing or something and you landed on me; I think I should be the one questioning you"

"You're lying" She suddenly become hostile towards Jake and aggressively placed her sword on his neck. "N-n-no I'm not; honest" Said Jake in a scared tone. She gave him a stern look, piercing into his soul until she suddenly lost consciousness and fell in Jake's arms. "Crap.. why did this have to happen to me?" He looked at the snowy, elegant face of the woman. "I need to get her to safe place though" He gently carried her to his apartment. As he entered the room he place her onto his bed and looked for the woman currently living in his apartment but he couldn't find her ;."She would have just made it worse" he thought to himself. He scuttled towards his hi-tech kitchen and grabbed some water . He placed the water trying to make no sound at all and quickly activated the air condition and automatic glass windows.

He stood there watching her and looking after her until he released that he had to meet Azuma in the cafe in about 10 minus . He quickly gathered his things and then he programmed the AI to play a recording if she wakes up; to tell her what happened and when he would be back. He left the room in a hurry and with haste; walked to the rend de vouz.
