Who is she?

A small beam of light peeks through my curtain. Ugh it's Monday. I sit up and look around my room. My desk light is on. I didn't do that.

"Johnny!"

I jump up and run to the kitchen where my little brother is eating a bowl of coco puffs.

"Why were you in my room?"

"What are you talking about? I didn't go in your room!"

"Listen here, you little shit. If I catch you in my room again, I'll give all your toys to Goodwill."

"Moooom! Mary said shit!"

My mom walks in wearing her usual tight dress and heels. Apparently news reporters are supposed to dress like whores.

"John Issac Harris! Don't use that kind of language. Do you think Jesus used ugly words like that?"

He probably would have if his father wasn't such a stickler, I thought to myself.

"Mary said it first."

"Larry, are you going to say something?" She said to my dad who had been sitting at the end of the table reading the paper the whole time.

"Listen to your mother." He shoveled another bite of eggs into his mouth.

She rolled her eyes and mumbled something how unbearable he is.

I'll defiantly be skipping breakfast today. I go in my closet pick out a soft blue sweatshirt and dark skinny jeans. Today is a lazy day. I brush my waist-length, curly, brown hair with my fingers. It's usually a monster but today it looks pretty good. With a wave of my mascara wand I'm ready to go.

"I'm going to school. I'll be late tonight, don't wait up." I yell as I walk out the door.

I'm going to Jeremiah's house tonight. Who knows, maybe I'll let him in my pants this time. Yeah right. I like him a lot but not enough to give him my virginity. In fact, I've never met a guy that I would give it to. I guess I just haven't met the right person.

As I drive to school to school in my truck, I think about that. I'm seventeen years old and I've never once wanted to have sex. I had gotten close with a few guys put I never really wanted to go all the way. There's probably something wrong with me.

I walk into my first period and plop down next to Jeremiah.

"Hey baby."

He turns around in his seat and grabs my face. "Hello, my gorgeous girl." He pulls me in and kisses me lightly.

"PDA!" My friend Alex shouts.

"Shut up. You're just mad that Josh isn't in our first period." I give her a playful push.

"Even if he was he's not this sweet."

The bell rings as we make our way to our seats. Mr.Vinno drones on about Sig figs and the homework from the weekend. I begin working on our assignment when someone pokes me and hands me a note. Are we in middle school or something? It reads; Meet me in your truck at lunch.

-Jeremiah

That's really weird. I turn around to see him grinning at me and flash him a smile. I don't know what we're doing at lunch but I'm sure it's going to be fun.

Fifth hour finally ends and I jog to the parking lot to find Jeremiah. As expected, he was standing by my truck shivering from the cold November air.

"I missed you this weekend." He said as we unlocked the doors jumped in.

I didn't answer I just jumped on top of him and started kissing him. He pushed me off.

"That's not why I wanted to see you." I sat back down a little embarrassed. He dug around in his pocket and came up with small velvet box.

"Happy six months." He opens it and there's a necklace with two intertwining hearts.

Shit. I totally forgot. "Thanks, baby!" I wrap my arms around him.

A black jeep pulls in next to us and we both turn to look.

A tall girl steps out. She has thick, black, curly hair but it's cut short. She's wearing a black shirt with a skeleton in a marching band uniform on it. Her red jeans are skin tight and tucked into her black combat boots. Her face is very angular and pale. She is beautiful. After shutting the door, she flashes me a killer smile.

"Who's that dike chick?" Jeremiah says, breaking the silence.

"I don't know but we should find out."
