Chapter 7 volume 1

Yang: " Okay everyone stop! " she yelled her eyes going red.

I froze as her aura flared.

As Pyrrha ran from the deathstalker everyone else just stayed still and a slim girl with black and pink hair walked to us breathing hard.

Then I looked up and saw something.

Garnet: " Yang? "

Yang: " What is it now?! " she asked.

I pointed up and we all saw Weiss holding onto the claw of a nevermore as it flew overhead.

Weiss: " Why did you leave me?! " she yelled and I was pretty sure it was directed at me.

Garnet: " I told her... To jump... "

Blake: " she's going to fall. "

Garnet: " She's fine... I think. " I say with uncertainty.

???: " She is falling. " the unknown girl said.

I sighed frustrated and took a few steps back stretching.

Garnet: " Yang. Can you give me a boost? " I asked.

Yang: " Why? "

Garnet: " I'm going to catch her. Now three. "

Blake: " It won't work. "

Garnet: " Two. " I say getting ready to run.

Blake: " You're going to drop her. "

Garnet: " One! " I say running as yang leaned down.

She used both arms to create a step for me and swung when I jumped causing me to go high in the air.

Just high enough to catch Weiss.

We were both falling as I tried to think.

Garnet: " Wrap your arms around my neck. " I say.

Weiss: " What?! " she asked.

Garnet: " Do it! " I say as we started falling faster.

She wrapped her arms around me as I used one arm and grabbed crescent rose.

Garnet: " Do not let go! " I said using scythe form.

She wrapped her arms tighter around my neck as I took a deep breathe.

I aimed crescent rose down and used my boot to steady it as I fired a whole clip slowing us down just enough to let me swing crescent rose. I hooked it onto a branch swinging us up and then I felt both of my feet step on a tree.

I jump down and land onto the ground both feet digging into the ground as I landed in front of the group.

Garnet: " Caught... Her... " I say breathing hard.

Everyone just looked at me as Weiss looked up at me.

Garnet: " What? " I ask looking at her.

She looked at me then my arm wrapped around her.

Her cheeks turned red as she used both arms pushing me away from her.

And I fell to the ground hitting my head.

I groaned as I held my head standing up.

Garnet: " Ow ow ow... " I whine standing up shakily.

I smiled as I stood up properly and started to walk to the group...

until something else happened.

I saw something flash in the corner of my eye and saw someone about to slam into me.

Garnet thoughts: " Not this time. "

I turn towards it and use both arms catch them sliding back a few feet before stopping.

I looked down and saw Pyrrha as she looked up at me.

Garnet: " Hi. "

Pyrrha: " ...hello. " she said.

Garnet: " are you okay? "

Pyrrha: " I think so. " she said nodding.

Garnet: " Then can you stand on your own? " I ask trying to be polite.

Pyrrha: " Oh yes sorry. " she said standing on her own.

Garnet: " Thanks. " I say rubbing my arms.

I then heard the deathstalker roar/hiss at us all and I growled back.

Garnet: " You know what?! That is it! I'm sick of this! " I yell pulling out crescent rose again and launched myself at the Grimm.

I slashed it in the face as it hissed louder trying to use it's pinchers to grab me but I ducked under it.

Garnet: " you stupid face Grimm! " I yelled jumping onto it's head stomping on it.

Yang: " Garnet! Calm down! " she yelled.

It tried to use its stinger on me but I jumped off it and jumped further away.

And fired crescent rose at its eyes before I heard something overhead.

I looked up briefly and saw the nevermore firing its feathers at me.

I tried to run back and dodge them but one was lodged into my cape pinning me down.

I heard the deathstalker hiss as its stinger was coming down to strike me.

I raise both of my arms to defend myself from the strike closing my eyes.

But as I waited for the attack nothing happened.

I opened my eyes and saw Weiss standing in front of me and Ice stopping the stinger.

Weiss: " You should never run straight into a fight without observing the situation. And then there's how you were fighting. A child could wield it more effectively. You need to stay calm if you want to be a huntsman one day. " she said looking back at me with a smile.

Garnet: " ... I know. I just got overwhelmed. " I said.

Weiss: " But I'm not perfect either. We still have to stick together... We are partners after all. " she said holding out her hand.

I smiled and laughed as I grabbed her hand and she helped me up.

Garnet: " Thanks for the save. " I say.

Weiss: " Don't worry. "

I looked around the large block of ice and saw the deathstalker hissing and trying to escape.

I walked away slowly before fully running away from it and back to the group... And to yang hitting me upside the head.

Yang: " Don't you dare to that again! " she yelled.

Garnet: " o-okay. " I said nodding.

She then hugged me tightly.

Yang: " You shouldn't be so reckless. That's my job. "

Jeane: " S-sorry to ruin this moment but it's circling back. " she said pointing to the nevermore flying back.

Garnet: " Okay. Does everyone here have their partner? " I ask.

Everyone said yes or just nodded.

Garnet: " then the solution is simple. " I say grabbing a random piece.

Then I turn back to them all.

Garnet: " Everyone grab a relic if your pair didn't. Then we run. We don't have to fight right now. "

jeane: " So we run away? "

Garnet: " Yes. Fast and far. "

Jeane: " I second that. "
