and just like that she returned. like the sun rises after a long, dark night, she returned and brought light with her. like your lungs crave for air when you break through the surface of the water after a long dive, she returned and filled his lungs with air. like the stars appear at night, that's how her shiny eyes sparkled, when she looked in his eyes. like a cool summer breeze blows through your hair and let's you take a breath of what freedom tastes like, that's how it felt when she laid her hands on him. the day that she had returned into his life, was the day that he felt alive again. the glimmer in her eyes, when she talked about the things she loved, the crimp at her nose when she laughed about his jokes, the way her hair fluttered in the wind and brought the sweet vanilla aroma to him; she was wholesome. his world had been dark and dreary, life had been meaningless without her. but just like that she returned, turned his world upside down and showed him again what living meant. and he? he was grateful.
