The path to Ordon was straight ahead as he motioned for Epona to stop. Ordon was what he knew best, it was his home, so what was stopping him? His thoughts drifted to his final hours with the Princess of Hyrule, Zelda. Her beautiful eyes were full of so much pain and sadness but yet still managed to light up with hope once Link entered the room. The look on her face once they defeated Ganondorf was one he'll never forget. Her face was consumed with pure bliss and something else, but Link couldn't quite figure it out. Once he returned her to the castle the Knights immediately took her away for care. That was the last time he saw her. He could never get her off his mind, his thoughts always went back to her. The hero longed to see her once more, but he knew better than to think he could have such a privilege, so he slipped away without being able to say goodbye.
Link sighed as he turned Epona toward the Zoran river that flowed through the vast fields of Hyrule. Once he arrived next to it he dismount his horse. He knelt next to the rushing waters and splashed some onto his tired face. The hero slumped against a tree and then slid down onto the ground. He sighed irritably and pressed his fingers to his temples in frustration.
"What do I do girl?" He asked Epona and received no response.
He smiled slightly and shut his eyes as he sat against the tree. His mind instantly went to thoughts of Ordon. Why should he stay there?
Ilia drove him insane with all he advances toward him. Her Father, the mayor, was expecting them to wed someday. She always stole Epona to try and flirt with him but it irritated him more than anything. The children are wild and don't listen to a word the adults say. The shop owner is an insane cat lady. All the men have some hysteria that monsters roam the village at night. So why should he even think twice about staying?
Rusl.
Rusl had taught Link everything he knew. He wouldn't have been on this adventure if not for him. The only problem is, would he approve of this new adventure? Link knew he'd support anything he thought of, but chasing after the Princess of Hyrule? Would he find it stupid and idiotic?
Link stood quickly and looked at Epona. "I've made my decision."
Epona snorted as he hopped onto her. He snapped her reins and they dashed away from Ordon and toward Castle Town. Link concluded that he wasn't going to let anyone choose his happiness for him. The duo neared the stone bridge that led to the entrance of the town. He dismounted his horse and dashed toward the large doors. The hero entered Castle Town and immediately made his way to the castle.
Two knights guarding the doors stared at him as he approached them.
"State your business!" One said sternly.
"I'd like to see Princess Zelda." His heart fluttered as he spoke her name.
The two looked at him and then burst into laughter at his statement.
"Don't waste our time, peasant."
Link smirked at them and pulled out his clawshot. "I don't plan to."
He grappled an open window above them and waved at them as he soared toward it. Link flew through the window and landed with light thud. He didn't make it very far down the hallway before a group of Knights darted around the corner.
"Get him!" The captain shouted.
"Shoot.." Link muttered as he flew through the first door he saw.
He sprinted through the large room filled with many assortments of paintings. Then he peaked out another door. Once he realized the coast was clear he'd darted down the long hall.
"There he is!" He heard behind him.
He looked back and saw yet another group advancing quickly toward him. The hero started in the other direction but stopped as he saw men coming from that direction as well.
