2- My Trusty Steed

I walked up to the bolder and got on top of it so that i would be taller than my normal 5'8 height. I gazed down and saw everyone with respect and adoration in their eyes. This was my family, my own unique pack. Everyone here was different, we only had a few that were the same. We are the rejects, the castaways, the hybrids. No one ever wants to be around us since we posses too much power. 

We all understand each other and we all have a story, whether good or bad. We also had a lot of diversity in age, our youngest being a 5 year old boy and oldest being a 47 year old woman. We travel the world getting the people who are not wanted and have raised them to who they are now. We understand how it feels so we help others. Though, not a lot of people know of us. We are already around the size of a normal pack with 143 members. 

"My lovelies, i have called on this meeting to state that we will be moving once again. I understand that some of you might have liked it here very much and for that I am sorry. Though, there is somewhere important that we have to go to and i hope that you'll like it. Its a small town called Moon Bright and we will even get enough land for all of us to live in. We will be staying for at least a year." I say, my voice filled with authority and kindness at the same time. I didn't want to be too stone cold, i want my people to know that i am approachable. That they can talk to me like a normal person, not as if i am a Queen. 

A little girl around 8 raises her hand and asks once i nod at her, "May i ask why we are moving and staying for so long?" 

"I have had a premonition that something evil is lurking near and that a battle will take place in around a years time. I want to go to where the battle will take place so that we may train so that we can help. The people that are involved are also some close friends of mine" I explained.

They all nodded their heads and started to form a line from youngest to oldest. This was a tradition that we have been doing for a while. They would line from youngest to oldest and i would personally hug them and thank them for helping and being a part of the meeting. This would also help them have confidence on their abilities to do things. 

Everyone also has a job depending on their age and what they are good at. For example, Ama is a 47 year old women who runs the kitchen. She knows exactly how to make many recipes and the only reason i cooked today was because it was the first of the month. When she started to be the head chef, i insisted that i help at some point and we agreed that every first month i would cook breakfast at least. 

"Now lets hurry and make dinner so we can leave" i say after i finish going down the line.

I gave everyone the directions to Moon Bright and warned them of the Bright Pack's territory. I was worried that they might step onto the land and get caught. So, i told them that if they smell it getting close to stay away and to just go around. We would all meet up at a waterfall that is right next to the town and still in neutral territory. 

With that, the ones that wanted to go first transformed and started heading over. Once everyone who wanted to go went, i was left with only 5 people, me and Caspian included. The other three people were some friends of mine, Rebecca, Charlotte, and Adam. Charlotte and Adam are mates but they weren't accepted by their parents since Charlotte is a vampire/mermaid hybrid while Adam was a werewolf/warlock hybrid. Because of this, they ran away and i found them and gave them a home. Rebecca was a witch/vampire hybrid though she hasn't found her mate yet. Her coven hated her already and even more once they found out that she was a hybrid. They even wanted to sacrifice her so i took her in as well.

"I guess its just us now" Adam said as he wrapped an arm around Charlotte's waist. Me and Rebecca looked at each other and pretended to barf. Them two were always so lovey lovey and Rebecca and i would always make fun of them. 

"Watch, Karma is gonna come back to get you two when you find your mates" Charlotte says as she narrows her eyes at us with a smirk on her lips. She was the mother or the group, always watching out for us. It didn't matter if i was the leader/Alpha of the pack or not. I could tell that she will be a wonderful mother in the future. 

Me and Rebecca just rolled our eyes and we all started walking. After walking for a while, i feel something behind me so i duck and see Caspian rolling in front of me. 

"Did you just try to jump me?" i asked with an eyebrow raised towards Caspian. He just sat on the floor while pouting like a child. I swear he's a five year old at heart, he acts just like Jacob, one of the little kids in our pack. 

"i wanted to see if you were paying attention and my feet hurt. Can you give me a piggy back ride?" He asked as he gave me his famous puppy eyes. Damn it, i can never say no to him when he's like this. 

"Ugh, fine but only for a few miles" i said as i turned around and crouched a little so that he could hop on. I was about to think he wasn't going to get on when i felt a body on top of me. You may be surprised by me being able to carry him but i was pretty strong and i was used to giving him piggy back rides, no matter his age.   

I turned to look at the other 3 and they just shook their heads with smiles on their faces. They understood that i would do anything for my brother and he would do anything for me. We were after all the only living family that we had. It was only us for a rally long time until we started our makeshift pack. 

"Onward my trusty steed, to the village of Moon Bright. Upon our arrival, i shall grant you your wish of lovely apples!" He yelled as he pointed straight while holding on to me. I just rolled my eyes but smiled anyways. Gods, i love my brother but he sure is a pain in my ass, sometimes literally.
