As Elodie busied herself getting ready for the day, she was deep in thought, planning her approach towards James. She had observed his behaviour, noticing his unusual absence whenever a female companion was near. The absence of his usual flirtatious antics had piqued her curiosity, leading her to conclude that it was time to put the plan into action.
Elodie tried to offer some reasoning to Fred, who was still stubbornly resisting the entire concept. "He won't be able to refuse in front of everyone," she rationalized.
Fred, unconvinced, shot back with a hiss, "What if he does? What then?"
"Are you willing to wager a bet on whether he'll decline or accept?" Elodie presented a challenge to Fred, her tone resolute.
She continued, "You're aware that being the nephew of THE Neville Longbottom and the son of Harry Potter carries a certain level of visibility. While James may not particularly enjoy the attention his lineage brings, the influence of his family still looms in the background."
Fred couldn't help but look at Elodie in disbelief. "Have you been studying him?" he asked with scepticism.
She chuckled and shook her head, "No, that's just common sense, and there's a second observation," she replied.
