Noah's POV~
Claire, Echo and I all headed to our homeroom. Turns out Echo was one of the 'special' kids that got a completely random schedule in hopes that she can take all of her desired classes. She'll have a couple of classes with Claire and I, including homeroom. Zach, on the other hand, doesn't have any classes with us. We all have the same lunch period though, so it won't be too bad for him.
"Hey newbie?" Echo said while we all walked down the hall. I may have zoned out a bit on the journey.
"Yeah?" I asked back.
"You coming to the annual back to school party? It's really the only good thing about school starting up again." She said with a chuckle, Claire rolled her eyes on the other side of her. Something tells me she's not a big partier.
I averted my eyes from them and scratched the back of my neck awkwardly. "Oh, um, I don't really party anymore..." I said. There's no way I can possible have a relapse this early in the game. That's just weak.
"Anymore? Oh c'mon, I want to hear this story!" Echo said with a playful smirk. "Did you get to wasted and start to twerk on a table?" She asked, turning her gaze to Claire with a raised eyebrow.
The smaller girl blushed. "It was one time Echo! Let it go already!" She whined. I chuckled a little at the two, and the thought of a drunk Claire twerking on a table. She seems like a bit of a light weight, I bet after three shots she was gone.
"Yeah yeah, and now you don't go to parties anymore. I lost my drinking buddy! I'm currently accepting applications, if you're interested." Echo said nudging my with her elbow.
"Sorry, but I can't." I said. She gave me one last questioning look before dropping it, clearly seeing that I was uncomfortable. We arrived at our classroom a few moments later. Echo lead the way through the room to three open desks in the back corner. The bell rang soon after.
Our teacher walked in, putting a bag down at her desk before walking to the front of the room. "I'm strictly your homeroom teacher for this time. I won't really be teaching anything, this is really just a free period to get some late work done or to quietly talk amongst yourselves." She said before heading back to her desk and typing away on her laptop.
"Sweet. Last year, my homeroom teacher tried to teach us latin all year." Echo said with an eye roll. I laughed at the thought of some random teacher trying to get a bunch of tired and annoyed teens to learn latin of all languages.
"Well mine wouldn't shut up about North Korea." Claire said annoyed and crossing her arms.
"What?" I asked amused.
"He wouldn't shut up about North Korea!" She repeated, throwing her arms in the air. "Saying that any day now they were going to try and attack us or something. All the boys started to make fun of him. I had to listen to ten teenage boys shout 'just nuke 'em' for a whole year!" CLearly someone's still a bit upset about that.
"Was Zach one of them?" I asked with a sweet smile.
She nodded her head. "Yeah, he was. Why did I ever agree to go out with him?" She asked herself with a sigh.
"Because he's hot?" I offered with a shrug. Claire stared at me with wide eyes.
"Oh God, please not you to." She whispered.
"Wait, homo?" Echo asked me with a raised eyebrow. I hesitantly nodded, slightly scared. Most people don't have a problem with it now a days, but there's always a handful of homophobes everywhere. "Yes! That means our group is now tied!" Echo cheered. Claire just laid her head on her desk in defeat.
