The moment I opened my eyes, I remembered every bit of conversation that I had with Margaux yesterday. Though the reason why she tweeted "I wanted, but I just can't." Is still unknown. I tried to talk her out of it and I ended up knowing nothing but yielding another pile of affection towards her. This is so embarrassing. I'm still not up from my bed and just kept staring my ceiling which is painted cream. I guess Mom decided it to be cream-colored.
"Mijho, it's late! Get down here and eat your breakfast."
Mom exclaimed like I haven't eaten breakfast in my whole life.
"Yes, Mom. Be there in 5." I answered back before she throws tantrums at me.
As I walk down the stairs, I heard a little bit of a heating-up conversation. I saw Mom talking to someone over the phone. As soon as she noticed me, he hung up the call.
"Who was it, Mom? You seemed so full of yourself over the call. Is something wrong?"
"Nothing's wrong. You go, eat your breakfast."
She said it as if she doesn't mean everything. I can almost sense a crack in her voice, but I didn't insist.
At the dining room, I saw Jodie eating his breakfast. I scanned for something to freshen up my day. The egg was either half-cooked or overcooked. Rice was not as scrumptious as it should be. No milk for me on my placemat. Something is going on with Mom and I can feel it in every way.
"Jodie, do you know who's Mom calling on the phone?"
"I don't know. I just woke up as well. I think it's an important matter I heard Mom a little angry earlier before you get down."
"Oh. Who could it be?"
Jodie just expressed how he felt about the conversation. He has no idea, that's how his body language showed. It couldn't be a co-worker because she's a full-time Mom. I'm almost thinking a lot of negative thoughts then I shook it off and started eating my breakfast.
"Hey, do you have homework?" I asked Jodie.
"Uhmmmm." I haven't checked my notes yet. I forgot. He managed to grin after.
"Do you want to die? I told you to never forget doing your homework, right?
"Sorry. I'll check up on it after I take a bath." You'll help me out, right?" He did it with his puppy eyes.
This is definitely why I love my brother so much. He has so much to learn and I wanted him to be as good as he could possibly be. We may be only two siblings but that makes it more complicated as we always get compared with each other. Jodie's mostly on the losing side. I never liked it anyway, which is why I always try to help him out so he could bring his A-Game towards other people's judgment.
I took a shower after eating my breakfast and on my way up to my room, I saw Mom outside still talking to someone over the phone. She's really a bit serious and I can sense how important the conversation was. I didn't mind and went on for a refreshing shower.
I left my computer on and music plays in the tune of Easier by 5 Seconds of Summer. I volumed it up and sing in the shower.
"Is it easier to stay? Is it easier to go?
I don't wanna know, oh
But I know that I'm never, ever gonna change
And you know you don't want it any other way"
Then Jodie called out.
"Hey, your music is too loud, I'm going to turn it down a little bit," I smirked knowing that he's already shouting.
"Alright, then ready your homework so we could do it right away."
Since Jodie's already in my room, I hurriedly finish my shower. I looked up myself in the mirror while I pat my hair. I'm too thin and I need to work out more for build-up. At that moment, I thought of Margaux and my heart thumped like it's racing. What's embarrassing is that I felt more than the thump in my heart, the orgasm that I shook off right away. That was awkward.
"Let me see your homework."
"Here, I need to do a graphic organizer." He's almost not sure if I could be of help so I hit him.
"Ouch! You don't need to do that!"
"Oh, I guess I did. Don't you know that I'm creative?" I said that as if I'm some artist by nature.
"Okaaaaaaaay. Fine. So, how do we start doing this?" He asked blankly. I smiled at him reassuringly with grinning teeth on. He almost looked at me out of words because he could sense that I'm planning something off.
I planned to let Jodie get resources for the materials that we need for his homework. I told him to go to Mom's room and look for any colorful paper or magazines, while I prepared the cutting and pasting materials.
"Mijhoooooooooooooo!" I was startled with Mom's voice. She sounded the whole residence would hear her out. So, I hurriedly ran off towards her room. There, I saw Jodie crying on the floor. I ran towards him and comforted him right away.
"Hey, stop crying. What's wrong?" I asked Jodie nicely but he won't stop crying. He's almost losing breath.
"You're asking what's wrong? You told your younger brother to look for papers in my room and he ended up taking these important documents!" She's so ferocious, showing me documents like Birth Certificate, Marriage contract, and billing statements.
"What were you thinking!" You're too much to handle and giving me so much pain in the ass!" I don't know where this is coming from, but I believe that Mom is up with something that is seriously bothering her.
She's not stopping with all her rants and Jodie is still crying like a baby our of milk or toys. I walked towards Mom and hugged her. She was startled by it.
"Mom, it's okay. Nothing important was destroyed or tampered. We won't do it again." I hugged her so tight while saying those words.
I felt a drop of water that kept on dropping on my shoulders. Then Mom lost it, she cried on her knees. I asked if what's wrong but she just kept on crying. It was so heartbreaking that it made me cry as well. I hope Dad is home but he isn't. We have no one to comfort Mom but us. I wonder what made her so emotional. I'm lost for words so I just hugged her with Jodie.
