Part 6... The Rejection

So after Hykeim and Quentin talked for a while, Quentin decided he wasn't "ready for a relationship" and it "wasnt Hykeim's fault." Was Hykeim upset and heartbroken? Yes, because he thought they had a good thing going. Plus, Hykeim was already going through the fact that his grandma was in the hospital, so the next morning he made a post about being upset and he threw his phone. A couple minutes later Devontae called him to "check up on him." Little did Hykeim know that he'd waste his time too. They started talking again right after Quentin and Devontae knew everything he was going through, and after about 5 days, he completely ghosted Hykeim. So after that, Hykeim posted a "to be honest?" post on his spam page, and you had to like the post to get one. Guess who liked the post... yup, Devontae. So Hykeim gave him not a piece, but his whole mind on how wrong he treated Hykeim. Although Hykeim was a little harsh, he didnt care at the moment cause he'd had enough. Devontae seen it, and he responded with an emoji, so that's over and done. Hykeim really wanted Devontae, but was tired of getting treated horrible. Anyway, Hykeim forgave Quentin. It took some time,some thinking, and some meditating but he did. So back in April it was decided that Hykeim was going to move. The house was already decided, it just had to be fixed up and updated. June comes, and the house is still not done yet. That house was by the school where his bestfriend went. Then some time after another house became available. Hykeim's grandmother decided that they would move in the second available house when they moved. Hykeim was perfectly fine with the decision until he found he'd be at the school where Quentin goes. As school is approaching, all Hykeim can think about is either running into him in the hallways, or him walking up to him. Hykeim hoped that Quentin would decide to come back to me. He was so nice. At the same time that also meant Hykeim would be friendless considering he didn't know anybody there. All he can do is hope for the best. He wanted to join marching band there, but the same instrument that Hykeim plays, so did Quentin, so Hykeim wasn't so sure about that anymore. Part 7... soon...
