In Her Eyes

The cold rain did not hesitate to fall,

Clouds darken the silent village,

The life in this place is limited

Until a young girl steps from her home

Dressed in a bright yellow raincoat

She adjusted her bag on her shoulder

The birds scattered away in panic

From the rusty gate guarding the church

As the girl entered cautiously

She strolled past the sacred building

Decorated in colourful glass

While the vivid light shone through

The deep green coloured trees

Blew gently in the powerful wind

That accompanied the violent rain

From afar she looked out of place

As if she shouldnt belong in such a dark location

Filled with such a dreary atomsphere

However,unlike the disrespectful joyriders

That sped through her village

Above the speed limit

The girl in ths yellow raincoat

Saw beauty
