Many students were standing near the entrance. Talking, laughing, gossiping. Saphira was next to Amethyst's locker, talking to her.
"So, about Alexander," Saphira said.
"Come on, Saph. Don't do this to me!" Amethyst said in an overly dramatic tone.
"Hey, I need details, my friend. Did something happen between you two?"
"Well... Not... Particularly..."
"Out with it!" Saphira said with a chuckle.
"We, maybe, kind of, sort of... Hooked up?"
"I knew it!"
"But, please, don't tell anyone!"
"Do I look like those girls to you?" She asked while pointing at a small group of girls.
"Don't point at them. You know how they are when you do that," Amethyst said while pushing Saphira's arm down.
"Relax, I'm pretty good with them. They even asked me if I wanted to join their little mischief gang, remember?"
"Still... Oh and... you can forget about Alexander, he has a new girlfriend."
"Again?"
"He said that he's only doing it to gain experience for the right one, later on..." At that moment, the entrance door opened. Everyone quieted down. Amethyst zoned out and started staring at the person that walked in. The only thing to be heard was someone's heels clicking against the tile floor.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Saphira asked before turning around. 'The rumours were wrong after all. Dead wrong!' she thought as she looked at the girl going down the hallway. 'Scared? We should be scared of her... Those stilettos, that walk, and that piercing gaze... It makes chills run down my spine.' As the girl was passing by, she made eye contact with Saphira. Just then, Saphira snapped back to reality. She realized that everyone was back to chatting with one another. Then, she gave the girl one last glance before her silhouette disappeared in the counsellor's office.
"That was, kind of, not something I'm used to," Amethyst said.
"I don't think anyone is. She walked in like she owns the place," Saphira commented.
"The rumours were really hella wrong. Plus, she seems like an arrogant bitch," Amethyst almost whispered.
"Let's not judge her on her appearance?"
"Yeah, sorry. I often forget what your mom taught us that day..."
"How can you even forget? She was pissed and basically screaming at us!" Saphira said while laughing.
"Yeah, sure brings me back..." She laughed as well. "God, her face was so red and her veins almost popped out."
"That's my momma for ya!" Their joking was soon interrupted by the bell.
"That's my cue to go. See ya later, Saphiii!" Amethyst almost shouted with a big smile on her face.
"Later!" She said before going to her classroom.

"Oh, good morning! Please, take a seat," A woman said. "You must be Elizabeth Hill, is that correct?" She asked with a smile on her face.
"That's right," Elizabeth answered.
"It's a big surprise to everyone that we have a new student. We didn't have one at our school in years. Well, we obviously have new students every year, but, it's the first time that we have someone come in the middle of the school year."
