Brün

I awoke with the soft glow of sunlight seeping into the room. Carol was still fast asleep in my arms, her golden hair draped carefully over the pillows. Gods she was beautiful. I lay there for a while, not wanting to disturb my sleeping beauty. Finally, she woke up too, mumbling adorably as she rubbed her eyes. "Morning Sunshine." I smiled, brushing her hair out of her face.
Yawning, Carol replied, "Morning."
I lifted her head gently and put her head on the pillows so I could actually move my arm. I sat up and placed my feet on the cold wooden floor. It was scattered with clothes and various notepads and guitar pics, (Carol's constantly losing them). I kicked a small pile of clothes aside and walked over to the window. The city was so peaceful at this time, not many people were awake, and the streets were almost barren. Almost. Suddenly, I felt Carol's cold hands against my neck. "Odin, Carol!" I exclaimed, jumping slightly at the touch. "Why the Hell are your hands so cold‽"
Carol simply shrugged and placed her hands gently on my face, pulling my head down so she could look into my eyes and I could gaze into her's. Carol's eyes were a sea of blue, radiant and clear. As if there were violent waves crashing against a rocky shore. She bit her lip, a playful smile tugging at the corners of her mouth as she did so. "We better start getting ready." She said with excitement in her voice. "We don't wanna mess up today, do we?"
I nodded. It was Steve and Nat's wedding. I wouldn't miss it for the world.
