The celebration in the small room was deafening. Boots were stomping on the wooden floors, and fists were shaking in the air. Rooster watched over his brothers, as they celebrated his new president patch being sewn onto his vest. At twenty-seven he was the youngest president ever in Black Alchemy MC history. His own father and president had been killed not even a few hours before and now here he stood waiting for his colors to be returned to his back.

His president patch sat on the right side of his leather vest, under the 1%er patch, his name on the left of his chest, was sitting above the 69 patch that earned him said road name.

Black Alchemy had been a part of Rooster's family history since his grandpop Huey and his buddies from Vietnam came back, missing the brotherhood that the army supplied them. And so Black Alchemy was created.

Rooster shook his head as he looked upon the brothers, his vest was being held out in front of him, donning his cut as his brothers cheered and chanted their approval. He couldn't believe that he was standing here in front of men that had not only been there with him since his prospect days but had been there when his own dad was a young member. Rooster's membership to Black Alchemy had been almost expected of him since he was a boy, but that wasn't the reason he joined the club, he joined because he loved the family that the club gave him. Not that he didn't have enough blood family.

Rooster's older brother left home as soon as he turned eighteen, wanting nothing to do with the club, the brotherhood or with his family. Rooster had called Steven to tell him about their father, Patriot, but nothing had come back from the oldest Bates.

Fucking asshole

Heather or rather Angel as she was known as, Rooster's middle sister, was a spitfire. She took no shit from no one, but she was also a good ol' lady to one of Rooster's closest brothers. Rooster could tell that she was very happy with her man Rubble.

And then there was Daisy, his youngest sister, she and Patriot were the closest out of all the other siblings. The poor girl hadn't left her room since she found out about the shootout with Jocker's Ace. Black Alchemy's rival club.

Rooster knew that she was now expected to step into his dad's huge shoes and try to bring an end to this war with the rival club. Not only that, but there was also someone out there attacking women that had connections with Black Alchemy members.

Mila knew that she should have let her work friend convince her to come out to a bar, but not just any bar, a fucking biker bar! She had no idea what the fuck she was doing here, how her fellow teacher even knew about this was place was a mystery to her.

Mila watched as bikers went up to the young bartender, who couldn't be more than eighteen, not say a single thing and be presented with a drink. How often did these men even come to his bar?

The rundown building was surprisingly crowded with men in leather, smoke hazing in the air was making it hard for Mila to see what was going on. Her co-worker was leaning over the bar, so much so that her tits were almost falling out of her top, however, the guy behind the polished wood took no notice.

'how could he not!' Mila's inner voice shouted. 'I mean the number of bikers that have actually stopped mid-drink to see what she was doing is ridiculous.'

Mila rolled her eyes and ordered herself a strong whiskey, downed it and motioned for another one. Her friend was gulping down her martini, so fast that Mila couldn't help but wince.

"Maybe you should slow down some?" she asked, hoping that her friend heard her. No such chance, however, the woman just mumbled something that turned into a slur. Mila couldn't help her eyes rolling, ordering a double this time, choosing to sip instead of completely swallowing the strong alcohol.

"Now, you don't look like someone who would frequent a place like this." A guy, a biker asked from behind Mila.

Mila couldn't help the sigh coming out of her mouth as she turned around to her conversationalist. Her mind supplied the surprised gasp that her mouth wouldn't allow entering the room, she had always imagined bikers to be old, fat, heavily bearded guys that paid for their death machines with their permission, she was not expecting the guy in front of her to be around her age. His hair was dark and thick, cut in a way that looked like it had just been windblown, and since he probably just got off his death hog, the look made sense. His hazel colored eyes caught Mila's attention for a moment, before a smirk formed on his full lips, this guy was as cocky as they came, Mila knew not to get involved with this guy. The two stared at each other before Mila stuck out her hip and rested her hand on it. "Can I help you?" she asked when he didn't walk away.

"I'm sure you can darlin'" the biker winked, causing her to turn away in disgust. She would have thought that the crude comments and suggestions would have stopped after she graduated from college. "Oi, where are you going?" Mila didn't reply, just walked back to the bar, sitting back in her stool, while she took in her environment a figure leaned against the bar. "You know I don't usually chase women." The cocky bastard said.

"Then I must be one of the lucky ones." She replied, making sure her disdain was ringing true. Taking a sip of her drink, the bar was in serious need of an upgrade, the wooden plated walls were covered in Harley-Davidson posters and photos of bikes, the stools were hard and uncomfortable under her ass, but the drinks were strong. Mila gave them a point for that.

"To get the attention of the club's president? Yeah, baby, you are one lucky woman."

"Okay," Mila turned to face the beautifully rugged man, her blood boiling at his comment. "who the fuck gave you the permission to talk to me like that? You rude asshole!"

"The name's Rooster." His hand came into her vision for her to shake but Mila just stared at him.

"What kind of a name is Rooster?" Mila asked, regretting it as soon as the words left her mouth.

"Well, what's another name for a rooster?" with a wink and a smirk, he turned and grabbed a drink sitting on the bar.

Mila just sat there, not really knowing what to say, how do you ask someone why their road name was inspired by their penis? She didn't know where to look, her gaze turned around the room, and caught sight of her friend looking like she was about to pass out in the arms of a random biker.

Making sure that she had all the courage the alcohol had provided was showing, Mila walked away from the biker in front of her and somehow got her friend out of the biker's arms and into her car.

As she drives away, Mila had the worst feeling that she was being watched, it caused a tingle to run down her back. She was a tough woman, she knew the games of a man, she knew the loss of a parent, but she didn't know why she couldn't get the face of the biker out of her head.
