Sunday afternoon, Minata sat on the living room couch with a pint of ice cream, watching some drama she was only half paying attention to. Her mind was elsewhere, stuck on repeat. The same scene of her and Aizawa in the hall on Thursday. School would've been hell on Earth if she went on Friday, so she called in sick. Since she got home that Thursday night, the couch had become a second home. The only time she moved was when she needed to use the bathroom or eat.

Minata brought the spoon up to her mouth and took a huge bite of cookies and cream ice cream. It was her favorite, other than chocolate.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the front door. She furrowed her eyebrows and stuck the spoon in the ice cream and set it on the table as she stood from the couch. Minata pushed her glasses up the brim of her nose and strode over to the door, swinging it open. Her heart plummeted to the bottom of her stomach; Aizawa stood there with a soft smile, hands in his pockets.

Aizawa's smile dropped as he took in her appearance, eyes moving slowly down her body. Minata ignored this and crossed her arms over her chest.

"What do you want Aizawa? Come to tell me how my feelings are all in my head again?" Minata sighed and leaned against the doorframe.

Instead of answering the question, he commented on her glasses. "I didn't know you wore glasses... they suit you."

Aizawa's tone was anything but flirty, however that didn't stop the intense heat coming from her cheeks. Minata cleared her throat. "How did you even find out where I lived?"

He sighed and switched the majority of his weight over to his other foot. "I uh, asked a friend of yours. I wanted to come and apologize."

Minata narrowed her eyes. "But it's all in my head right?"

Aizawa sighed again, more heavy that time and locked eyes with her. "No. Principal Nezu chewed my ass after you stormed off. He said I was an idiot not to realize that you cared about me. It's just that... one day you'll understand why I am the way I am. I'm sorry that I hurt your feelings."

Minata felt her scowl slowly fall from her face. "Well, I appreciate the apology."

He stood there awkwardly, not sure how to respond. Minata sighed and stepped aside. "Would you like to come in?"

Aizawa opened his mouth like he was going to say something, he seemed like he was having an internal battle with himself. Minata raised a eyebrow and waited for an answer.

Finally, he spoke. "Um, I don't know if that would be the most intelligent idea."

Minata shrugged with a sigh. "Is that all then?"

Aizawa frowned to himself, cursing under his breath. "You know what? Yeah, I'll come in."

Minata's face brighten as she stepped aside so that he could walk into the apartment. He walked inside, eyes scanning the small living room. Pictures scattered the walls, as did a small painting of a cherry blossom tree beside the television. One picture caught Aizawa's eye; the picture was of Minata and Yani. He made his way of to it and picked it up off of the end table next to the couch. He held it up and turned to face Minata, who simply closed the door and stood as far away as possible.

"Oh," Her eyes locked onto the picture with a sad expression. "We took that picture a week before she passed. After graduation she came to me and apologized for her behavior. We were actually good friends and had a lot in common."

Aizawa smiled for a split second before it was gone. Minata picked up the slowly melting pint of ice cream and went to put it in the fridge. "Sit, make yourself comfortable."
