You watched as he stared at her. You felt your hands clutch each other. It was always like this, you always felt sad, you always felt lonely. Feelings are fatal.
He smiled at her. Couldn't he see that you were right there? Like you always have been. You've always been here for him. You wish you never started liking him. Feelings are fatal.
He talked so happily with everyone. It seems like you've been left in the shadows, always wearing a fake smile to keep yourself from crying. How many times had you kept it locked it inside? Too many times. Feelings are fatal.
Your mask was breaking slowly. You felt as if you would always feel like this. Like nothing and no one was going to notice. No one would notice that your smile never reached your eyes. You had been losing sleep, everything was going down hill. You lost interest in everything you used to like and own. You slowly started giving them away. They would be something to remember you by. Feelings are fatal they say.
You felt the wind whip through your hair. You clutched your hands close to your chest. You over looked the city. The sunset seemed to be prettier today than it had been in all your years of living. What a perfect day.
The door behind you opened. You turned to face the visitor and smiled at him.
"My feelings are fatal."
You smiled.
Tears slipped down your cheeks.
His eyes widened.
He ran.
He reached.
He tried.
You saw all your happy, sad, and even goofy memories flash throughout your head rapidly.
You felt the wind whip through your hair, you enjoyed your moment with your eyes closed.
"I loved you."
