9:58 P.M.

"Good night, Dad!" Your father gently nods his head at your words, fondly smiling at you— his sweet daughter. "Good night!" he happily says back to you and shuffles your hair.. As soon as you are done with the dishes, you wipe your hands with a clean white towel before swiftly rushing to your room.

Since you are able to spend your day today very wisely, such as doing your homeworks and studying for future quizzes, there's really left nothing for you to do. Well~ Other than entertaining yourself.

You softly breath out, taking your laptop from your side and placing it on your lap. As you occupy yourself with some youtube videos,  you cannot help but wince while finding yourself think of your poor phone. And because you've also finally calmed yourself down, you actually currently think that it's such a waste to refuse the phone Dante has offered to you ealier.

You sigh.

What in the world should I do??? I do not have enough money with me to buy a new phone, and I can't ask my father for money... He'll surely get mad if he found out. Worse, Father might force me to stay away from Dante. Our friendship will be doomed.

You bite your lip.

Even though you are still holding a grudge on him, that isn't enough for you to destroy this friendship you have with Dante.

You push your worries away from your thought and only hope good things for tomorrow... With the lights close as you put on your blanket over your body, you slowly shut your (E/C) eyes and drift to sleep.

Silence roams within your room.

So deep in sleep, you are not aware of the surroundings around you. A click is faintly heard, and someone enters the room. No, it isn't Dad. He's way back inside his bed room, sleeping. That someone slowly goes to your place. Slowly, a smile of adoration crosses his face as he gazes down at you again.

And yes.

You guessed it. It's the one and only Ashes.

Ever since he escaped from his household yesterday, this young man has been daring to make visits to your house, especially your bedroom. He has the key. Of course.. He has the key.

Ashes managed to duplicate all the keys before without your father noticing it. It is a bold move, but he was not caught.

He carefully takes a seat beside you. He pulls out a hand, stroking your cheek. His heart is content and calm... with you being right here beside him. Ashes loves you, okay?
Why don't you want to accept his love for you? It is only his first time being so affected by this kind of feeling — and Ashes only wants to make sure you feel this sincere feelings he has for you.

He presses his lips as he looks down at your face again... Hurt. Sadness. Longing. But those feelings are wiped off when he sees a small trail of drool—escaping the side of your slightly opened lips. Ashes softly chuckles under his breath, brushing away the drool with his thumb. Looking down at his thumb, he is unaware of the fact that you are already awake.

Heart's beating so fast. Fear wraps your being while you gape at the man before you. Ashes? What is Ashes doing here?? You thought that you will not ever see him again, but Ashes is here.. You wonder to yourself if you should scream, but that will alarm him of you. But then again, it will also alarm your dad.

Finally deciding, you're about to scream.

A sound leaves your lips, but that only lasts for a second. Your lips are immediately covered with his hand. "(Y/N), please don't do this to me," he pleads you in a soft voice. His dark brown eyes fully show his emotions. When you take in his disheveled appearance more, you cannot help but feel pity.
