Hogwarts Houses Part 4
Ravenclaw: Members of this house are characterized by their wit, learning, and wisdom.

Weird, unusual things started happening in Hogwarts. I've never seen anything like it, but of course Hogwarts is weird! It'd be weird if it wasn't. My big brother, Ryker has plenty of stories if you want to hear those! I don't have time to tell his, only mine.

I flip through the library searching for something that could explain what's happening. I haven't a clue what's up with it. I decide to find the smartest, but most shy at Hogwarts. I called upon Jo, my closest friend here; and my favorite Ravenclaw here, who doesn't use me because of what house I'm in.

"What's up, (y/n)?" Jo gives his signature smile, although not many get to witness it. He keeps his head down, making him seem quite mysterious, but he's just shy.

"So, there is a cute first year that has went missing and no one can seem to find her. I have a feeling that it has something to do with the secret."

Jo gives me a surprised look, trying to keep his cool, he nods. We found out about the secret whilst following a cute creature we'd never seen at Hogwarts before. He takes a look at my research and we start the investigation a bit further. It wandered into the woods and we never saw it again. It has been happening a lot more than you think.

The last known place the girl had been was outside during broom lessons. I have a gut feeling that she might meet the same demise as the rest of the current victims.

I can't help but gaze at him while he's so focused, it's hard not getting distracted by him. Not only is he a genius in the making, but he's also so strong. Mentally and physically. No one really got that vibe from him, but you try arm wrestling with him and see how that goes for you!

We decided to start off with Mission Find Lost Soul as soon as the halls are abandoned. I convince Tonks, one of my best friends, to cover for me while we put our plan into action. We decide that we will follow the marked path we made to the Forbidden Forest. I know that the giant spiders will not exactly let us in with open arms- well, legs.

There is no way we are going unarmed. So we decided to join he dueling club and learn a bit of combat. We knew that it'd come in handy at some point. I gather snacks that I might have swiped from the kitchen. It's so fortunate that Hufflepuff house is right by it, huh?

I pack up and decide that a few water bottles couldn't hurt. Who knows how long we'll be gone. Jo and I don't intend on being gone too long. We'll just have to see, won't we?

"You've got everything?" Tonks double checks my things and I giggle, grasping her attention. She gives me a wary look and I shake my head, wrapping my arms around her small frame.

"If I didn't think we could do this on our own, I wouldn't be doing it. Besides, I have Jo for backup, and you've got homework," I smirk, hoping to ease her nerves.

She returns a cute smile, lightly punching my shoulder. I say my good nights and tell her we should be back before the sun rises. I know that is a long time, but we have a lot of searching to do.

I meet Jo in the courtyard before sneaking past Hagrid's hut. We excitedly sprint down the large hill. We know what trouble awaits, and we honestly don't care. That doesn't mean we're fearless. I'm terrified, and if Jo is as well, he has an amazing way of hiding it.

There's a howl in the distance and I instantly wrap my fingers tightly around his. Jo chuckles and wraps his over my hand, leading the way into the trees. His wand is at the ready and we're off, our mission has begun.

There is a very obvious path of human footsteps that lead into the dark timber. Broken branches and stomped on dead leaves litter the ground below us. I sigh and Jo squeezes my hand, giving me a hopeful smile.

"Just breathe, she could still be alive. I've interviewed some of her friends, she's smart for an eleven year old, (y/n)."

His eyes sparkle, but I start to think that it's just my imagination getting the best of me. We start off into the woods. (Not home before it's dark, which sucks. Dangerous haha) We venture further and hear faint screams. It has to be the little girl.

We let go of each other's hands and dead sprint in the direction of the girl in distress. I look into the darkness of the trees, there's nothing. No one to save, and nothing to fend off.

Before we know it, a voice booms.

"Why is it that when something crawls into this place there has to be more?" I spin around and find no one. I hear sticks breaking underneath them as they walk, but no host to show their face.

"We apologize for disturbing the peace, we came for a little girl who could have been wandering around here, did you happen to see her leave?" Jo asks, casting Lumos. Millions of spiders hover over and around us.

"Who said anyone was leaving?" The man-eating spider cackles and I gulp. My stomach churns and I fight the urge to straight up puke on the forest floor. I know that regular sized bugs are terrifying, but this, this is a whole new level. I am forever going to be traumatized by this for a long while.

Jo continues to buy time as I think of a plan. There is small opening between a few spiders that is a bit spaced out compared to any other exits. We could use the spell incendio and make a mad dash for the hills. I'm not too sure that we'll make it by foot so we can summon our brooms and get the heck out of here.

I nod at Jo and whisper the plan to him. He gives a nod and we whip out our wands.

"Accio!" We both shout in unison.

We make a dash for the opening and temporarily set fire to the beasts around our escape route. They dash after us and Jo's broom is at his side. He hops on and he flies off, I continue running.

My broom never makes it to me, no matter how many times I revise the spell. Tears stream freely down my cheeks as my legs are about to give out. I whimper, knowing the spiders have almost made it to me.

A hand wraps around my wrist and I'm pulled in the direction of the person. I'm instantly in the dark and I've been told to hush up. A wand lights the small covered hiding spot and I notice it's the little girl.

I wrap my arms around her and she starts to cry.

"Thank you for looking for me. A cute bunny hopped in here and I wanted to save it but the spiders found me. I fell in this hole, the poor thing is starving!" She pulls out a baby rabbit and I give a small smile.

"It's alright, you're safe now. Jo will swing by and come get us with some help."

She falls asleep in my arms, and we wait. It seems like actual days before we are found. Of course we get a scolding by Snape and I'll never be left alone by the populars. Who knows what mom is going to do to me when I get home..

"(Y/n) and Jo, Dumbledore wants to see you now."

I gulp and we head into his office. Jo holds my hand, knowing we'll probably be expelled. We broke a rule and put ourselves in potential danger.

"You do realize how much trouble you're in? Do you know how severe this is, you put your lives in jeopardy and for what?" he demanded an answer. Jo stays quiet but I don't think I can.

"I know what we did was foolish and bloody stupid, but we made it back just fine and we found the first year you guys couldn't seem to track down! Yeah, I know what could've happened but did you ever consider what did happen?" I snap. After the words slip off my tongue my hand flies over my mouth.

I look over at Jo and his face is really pale. Dumbledore chuckles lightly. I shake my head and look up at him. Jo is just as flabbergasted as I am at this very moment.

"You are one of a kind, miss (last name). Makes me feel a bit younger, and you're right. You've done well things for this school and the well being of the student you risked everything for. For bravery I gift both of you one hundred points each."

Jo gives me a bright smile, scooping me up in his arms. I have no idea what went through his mind, but his lips connected to mine for a few seconds, Dumbledore clearing his throat. Jo and I chuckle, scurrying out of Dumbledore's office, our fingers intertwined.
