1 2 3You can't believe everything you see or hear. Don't believe in the lies they tell you. In this world, believing could lead you into a life of misfortune and devastation. Them, they could get anyone at anytime. Snatch you away from your former life and bring you to a world of dispaire. Who can you trust? When the world is turned upside-down and the unjust rule the world. Who will you turn to when the world is out to get you? Quite unfortunate.
Kouki Higanbana and Haru Daichu, two nineteen year old boys are determined and curious to find the motive of the creatures who've been taking humans for the past three hundred and fifty years. Kouki Higanbana is a sweet man who likes flowers and books, on the other hand, Haru Dachi is an outgoing, loud, gamer. They took a risk in trusting each other whole heartedly knowing that if you trust the wrong person, that could lead to utter disaster.
The two are curious adventures. Both having similar pasts, losing family to the creatures. Letting their hunger for knowledge of the world sends them to the unknown. Leaving more questions than answers for them. But with no regret, they carry on their journey.
Know not to be gullible or slow-witted, every second counts when you're finally caught. Fighting, the last resort as humans are no match for these creatures who lurk low, blending in with the everyday shenanigans. Pay close attention and you'll see who sticks out. Make it obvious and they'll hunt you down, the next prey for the predictor.
"Leave it to the experts!" People say, but the "experts" are usually killed off within a few months. So some civilians take it into their own hands, killed if caught by the authorities or by the creatures.
Higanbana and Dachi both know the consequences for what they are doing, but being the reckless teen they are, decide to do it anyways. Dachi's parents were both experts in this field, so he has a thing or two about what to do.
These "creatures" you may ask. Well, they're called Shiko. They may look human and act like human, but oh- they're so far from it. The only way to keep a mature Shiko alive is to brainwash humans once a month and send them to the so called "life of dispaire" where they would be disposed of by another type of creature. Their weakness is unknown, so they rampage the earth. None have ever been caught, as they're fast and good at acting. Young Shiko's are basically human until they turn 17. The day they turn 17, they develop a small tattoo-like image on their right inner forearm.
The world has lived in constant fear since Shiko's have arrived. Will they all someday live in peace? Or be left with the same world. Maybe someday, it'll all be over...
